Role Overview:

As the Head of Legal at Zeal Group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our legal strategies and ensuring that our operations are in full compliance with the ever-evolving regulations in the fintech industry. You will lead a team of legal professionals, providing guidance and support across various departments while remaining proactive in managing legal risks and opportunities.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the legal function of the company, including contract negotiation, compliance, and risk management.
  • Provide expert legal advice to executive leadership and other stakeholders on a variety of issues including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and business strategy.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other external advisors.
  • Implement and enforce legal policies and processes across the organization.
  • Stay abreast of changes in local and international legislation impacting the business.
  • Deliver training and legal updates to employees across the organization, fostering a culture of compliance and ethical practices.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified lawyer with at least 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in fintech or related sectors.
  • Proven managerial experience in leading a legal team and overseeing complex legal matters.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial law, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements in the fintech industry.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and provide actionable legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing legal risks and providing strategic guidance for business initiatives.
