As Head of Labs UK, you will lead the establishment and operation of a cutting-edge blood laboratory network across the UK. Reporting to the Medical Quality Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of laboratory medicine within our organisation, delivering rapid, reliable results that directly impact patient care and organisational growth.
Location: UK – London and surrounding areas.
Reports to: Medical Quality Lead UK
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and scale a UK-wide lab network, standardising processes across sites.
- Ensure labs meet ISO 15189 standards through QMS, audits, and continuous improvement.
- Optimise workflows from sample collection to result reporting.
- Build and develop a high-performing lab team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage vendors, equipment, and consumables.
Who You Are:
- Experienced multi-site lab leader.
- Skilled in QMS and regulatory compliance (ISO 15189 preferred).
- Strategic, operational thinker with a focus on efficiency and quality.
- Strong people leader who fosters technical excellence.
- Collaborative, proactive, and patient focused.
- FRCPath & HCPC certified (Essential).
