Job title: Head of Internal Communications
Location: London or Leeds
Overview of the role:
We are recruiting for a Head of Internal Communications to join our team in either our London or Leeds office.
Our Head of Internal Communications will be an outstanding communicator and influencer who develops relationships with our ExCo and leaders to help develop and deliver a communications strategy and plan across the International division.
The key focus for this role is to partner the business to embed one consistent strategic narrative, passionate about our coordinated strategy, showcasing our regions and diverse family of brands and their collective impact.
This will involve playing a leading role in the newly crafted IC Hub across international ‘and its regions. (UK & Ireland (UKI), Southern Europe & Africa (SEA), Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Central & Eastern Europe (CEE). We hope to add a 5th; Brazil, pending regulatory approval of the NSX deal. )
This role will also deputise for the Internal comms Director when required which involves building a relationship with the CEO and CPO.
This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.
What you’ll do:
Key responsibilities:

Delivering an Internal communications strategy and plan across International
-
Leading on Flutter International divisional wide communications campaigns and projects and acting as main point of contact for group comms

Managing the International IC hub

Leading communications integration workstreams for future M&A activity

Leading change/transformation communications, working collaboratively with wider Transformation and HR teams

Mentoring team members and supervising monthly meetings to ensure we are improving our time spent together

Acting as a Role model for agile ways of working – teaching the team efficient ways of working mentoring other team members and ensuring air traffic control, value added IC support for our stakeholders

Leading IC events such as live broadcasts and Leadership events

Leading the way in managing our communications channels and their content - optimising our content, with high quality, strategic, impactful communications for our people
What you’ll bring:

Previous global experience, working across multiple time zones and cultures

A Strategic thinker – able to join the dots and align campaigns and plans to a bigger picture

Shown experience partnering with senior executives and CEO’s

Collaborator management with outstanding influencing and engagement skills, building credibility and trust

Discernment: ability to make sound decisions, awareness of the business landscape, and knowledge of the industry

Project and event leadership skills

End to end campaign management experience across multiple channels

Previous experience leading on M&A or integration workstreams for IC

Travel to other sites required (including international travel)
