About this opportunity:
The Americas Indirect tax unit is responsible for end to end indirect tax compliance, driving automation within the area of indirect tax and improving indirect tax master data to ensure compliance, quality, and efficiency in Ericsson indirect tax processes for the Americas region. The Head of Indirect Tax Americas is responsible for leading and managing the Americas Indirect Tax compliance team, as well as developing and driving competence development within the team to secure long term success of the team.
The Head of Indirect Tax Americas would be driving and participating in collaboration between the Indirect Tax Units and with Group Taxes, as well as other finance stakeholders for the purpose of standardizing and improving the area of indirect tax. Is responsible to formulate, drive and implement strategies to increase quality of our tax master data and to ensure indirect tax process improvements and automation.
What you will do:
Performing root cause data analysis of inaccuracies in indirect tax reports and feedback/ collaborate with stakeholders/data owners to correct the faults
Driving standardization and improvements within the area of indirect tax process and compliance
Driving collaboration between members of the Global Indirect Tax Units and other finance stakeholders (financial control units, AP, intercompany etc.)
Driving collaboration between the indirect tax units and with Group Tax for the purpose of standardizing and improving the area of indirect tax
Identifying, set up and implement new solutions, tools, and functionality in global tax compliance processes
Collaborating actively with Global Indirect Tax Units and other Finance and IT stakeholders to develop tax automation functionality
Driving and initiating optimal ways of working in the area of indirect tax processes
Driving initiatives and improvements related to process, systems, and automation in area of indirect tax
Implementing strategies to ensure indirect tax process improvements and automation
Provide system VAT logic advice
Developing, maintaining, and implementing strategies to increase quality of our indirect tax master data
Developing, maintaining, and implementing strategies to ensure collaboration with stakeholders/data-owners to increase quality of our master data
The skills you bring:
Management experience.
Academic degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Tax law, data analytics and/or the equivalent experience.
Appropriate relevant industry experience in data analytics, automation, ERP system set up, solution set up and design and software development.
Knowledge and experience in multi-country Indirect tax compliance (focus on US, Mexico, Brazil).
Experience with electronic invoicing requirements and implementation.
Knowledgeable and understanding of financial systems.
Knowledgeable and understanding of data analytics and tools.
