We are looking for a VP - Head of FP&A to join the Finance team, to be based in Edinburgh or London. This role reports directly to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the FP&A function, developing processes, systems, and reporting structures that leverage technology to reflect industry leading practices and align with private equity expectations.
  • Conduct a thorough review of financial performance to understand drivers, enhance visibility and influence informed decision-making across all four reporting segments.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to support the company’s ambitious product and market growth strategy.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling, ensuring robust financial planning across the business.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, segment and functional leaders to provide financial insight and commercial analysis.
  • Leverage data analytics to drive performance tracking, profitability analysis, and business case evaluations for new initiatives.
  • Support M&A activity by assessing financial performance, analysing synergy opportunities and integrating acquisitions.
  • Leverage Artificial Intelligence to improve reporting and analysis across the business.

The Requirements

  • A qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable FP&A leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of building or scaling an FP&A function, ideally within a Private Equity-backed business
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis expertise, with an ability to drive data-led decision-making.
  • Experience working with large data sets and financial modelling tools – exposure to data analytics platforms is advantageous.
  • A leadership mentality, with experience in team management or function-building.
  • SaaS or recurring revenue model experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to partner with key stakeholders across finance, operations, and senior leadership, acting as a bridge between finance and commercial decision-makers.
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to understand and explain business drivers to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to synthesize complex issues into easily understood key drivers.

Why Join?

  • Opportunity to build and shape a critical function alongside executive level leaders in a high-growth, acquisitive business.
  • Be a part of an industry leader working alongside talented colleagues across the world.
  • Work closely with Private Equity leadership, gaining exposure to strategic decision-making at the highest level.
  • Be a key player in a highly visible role, offering career progression and upside.
  • A dynamic, fast-paced environment where you can influence outcomes and make a tangible impact on business performance in a timely manner.
  • This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to take ownership of a vital function, drive meaningful change, and contribute to the future success of a thriving Private Equity-backed company.

Expectations

  • We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment, but this may be subject to change in the future.
