An opportunity to lead our Group Finance team, covering Financial Accounting, FP&A, Project Accounting, Regulatory Reporting and other operational functions. Providing oversight and direction to the Finance department’s management team you will be responsible for the LME Group’s financial reporting systems, processes and controls.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Financial reporting to the LME Group Executive Committees and Boards, ensuring it complete, accurate, timely and presented to a high quality.

  • Ensuring all external reporting is thoroughly reviewed and accurate (including financial statements; tax returns; regulatory capital requirements).

  • Managing the annual budget process and year end process; including planning and ongoing financial forecasting.

  • Overseeing the LME Group’s tax affairs, including managing the relationship with tax advisors and HMRC.

  • Overseeing the calculation and monitoring of regulatory capital requirements for LME and LME Clear including supporting annual regulatory risk-based capital assessments.

  • Leading and/or supporting the identification and implementation of finance system and process improvements.

  • Driving continuous improvement of financial processes and controls

You will be a Qualified Accountant with significant post-qualified experience, including leading a multi-discipline team. Experience working within Financial Services or Technology would be advantageous, as would experience with Oracle Financials and Hyperion Budgeting or a similar complex ERP.

Leadership and coaching skills are critical, as is an ability to support and influence senior stakeholders and respond positively to changing business issues and priorities in a dynamic environment.
