We seek a motivated and detail-oriented VP Finance to lead our finance function as we scale rapidly.  This role is ideal for a strategic financial leader with exceptional analytical and accounting skills and a strong commercial acumen.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Oversee all aspects of finance, including accounting, financial reporting, systems, budgeting & forecasting, tax planning, and M&A integration.
  • Strategic Partnership: Partner with leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that drive growth and profitability.
  • Process Optimization: Implement best practices and financial processes to ensure smooth operations and support future acquisitions.
  • Financial Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data and reporting.
  • Hands-on Leadership: Be a leader who actively participates in all aspects of the role.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor finance leaders across the group, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Areas of Focus

  • Implement robust reporting structures and finance systems for internal monitoring and external investor reporting.
  • Manage internal legal/tax/audit compliance for the holding entity.
  • Develop and maintain overall operating, and financing model forecasts, including P&L, cash flow and balance sheets (consolidated and individual companies with a 5-year outlook).
  • Oversee and assist with financial due diligence for investments, liaising with legal on deal structures and maximizing value generation.
  • Optimize capital allocation across the group.
  • Select and collaborate with a group auditor to prepare accurate group accounts and implement systems/controls for a future IPO.
  • Develop and implement equity incentive plans.
  • Develop group accounting policies to standardise internal reporting of recurring revenue, ARR, EBITDA etc.
  • Liaise with portfolio management and finance teams to prepare annual budgets, forecasts and for reporting.
  • Collaborate with Group Head of Technology on internal data storage and record keeping, creating one source of truth for key financial documentation and information.


Qualifications:

  • 7-15 years of experience in a fast-paced finance role, ideally within a software group, or professional services.
  • Strong accounting & financial reporting with deep understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and financial performance analysis.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Proven track record of implementing financial systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across all levels.
  • Strategic mindset and passion for partnering with the business to achieve goals.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently, lead effectively, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience with M&A integration and sophisticated financing sources is a plus.
  • B2B SaaS software experience is a plus.
