Summary

Protect & progress your career with ESET.
At ESET UK, we’ve grown from a small, family-run operation into a thriving part of a 2,000-strong global cybersecurity leader. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a Head of Finance & Business Operations to play a pivotal role in driving our continued growth and profitability.

Job description

About the Role

As Head of Finance & Business Operations, you’ll be a key member of the UK leadership team — driving financial excellence, operational efficiency, and strategic growth. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that blends strategic foresight with operational precision.

You’ll take full ownership of ESET UK’s financial health, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and performance across all financial processes — from forecasting and reporting to budgeting, cash flow, and audits. At the same time, you’ll work closely with the Country Manager and senior leadership to shape business plans, analyse performance, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

This is a role for a commercially minded finance leader who wants to go beyond the numbers — influencing strategy, driving business performance, and helping steer a fast-growing technology company to even greater success.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop the Finance team while providing strategic and operational support to Sales and Marketing, ensuring alignment with ESET UK’s commercial goals.
  • Oversee all key financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and payroll (including commissions). Ensure full compliance with local legislation and global accounting standards. Lead monthly and annual financial closings, managing accruals, P&L reviews, statutory audits, and the preparation of accurate financial statements and management reports.
  • Produce timely and accurate financial insights that enable data-driven decision-making across the business.
  • Work closely with the Country Manager and Senior Leadership Team to shape annual business plans and budgets that support ESET’s broader growth objectives.
  • Track company results against KPIs, providing clear analysis and actionable recommendations to enhance performance and profitability.
  • Review and manage commercial contracts, ensuring terms remain effective and beneficial to the business.
  • Streamline financial and operational processes, establish clear performance targets, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
  • Maintain strong, transparent relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other stakeholders, ensuring full compliance with financial, legal, and ethical standards.
