About LangChain:

At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.

Today, LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, and Agent Builder are used by teams shipping real AI products across startups and large enterprises. Millions of developers trust LangChain to power AI teams at companies like Replit, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, and 35% of the Fortune 500.

With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.

About The Role:

As our Director, Deployed Engineering in EMEA, you will build and lead the team of deployed engineers working across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You’ll play a defining role in shaping how agents are built and deployed across EMEA, while also helping define how deployed engineering operates globally at LangChain. This is a rare opportunity to build a regional organization from the ground up, and have outsized impact at a company shaping the future of AI-powered software.

This team works alongside our sales team to help our prospects and customers build reliable, scalable agents for this business, using our suite of products — LangChain, LangGraph and LangSmith. The team focuses on pre-sales efforts, but stays on accounts to not only close new business but to also make our customers wildly successful.

You will build and lead a team of deployed engineers who establish LangChain’s technical and strategic credibility with our most important customers. This organization plays a central role in helping enterprises understand why LangSmith is the best platform for evaling, deploying, and observing agents — and why we are the best long-term partner to work with.

You will report to the Global Head of Deployed Engineering, and operate as a peer to the EMEA Sales Leader, with shared ownership of regional outcomes.

This role is equal parts organizational leadership, customer engagement, and revenue accountability. You will define how deployed engineering operates in EMEA, build a high-performing regional team, and ensure tight alignment between technical excellence and commercial success.

As a member of the global deployed engineering leadership team, you will also be a core contributor to shared strategy, helping define the playbooks, processes, and standards used across regions.

What You’ll Do:
  • Build and scale the EMEA deployed engineering organization, owning hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management as the team grows rapidly.

  • Achieve the technical win, driving urgency and focus with our customers, in order to rapidly advance our opportunities across EMEA.

  • Partner with LangChain’s EMEA sales leader, with shared accountability for revenue outcomes and customer success.

  • Lead technical strategy on our most strategic enterprise opportunities, engaging directly with senior technical and business stakeholders to shape evaluations, architecture, and solution design.

  • Differentiate LangChain in competitive environments, clearly articulating our technical advantages, product vision, and unique expertise in building and deploying agents in production.

  • Set and uphold the technical bar for deployed engineering, staying close to the product and modeling what excellent customer-facing engineering looks like.

  • Co-create global playbooks and operating practices, contributing regional insights while maintaining strong global consistency.

  • Develop future leaders, building a strong bench of deployed engineers and managers across EMEA.

How to be successful in the role:
  • 10+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, engineering, or similar customer-facing technical roles at a dev tools, AI, or infrastructure company.

  • Proven experience leading and scaling technical GTM teams, with demonstrated ability to lead multinational, multicultural teams across EMEA.

  • Deep technical expertise — you’re not a stranger to Python, and are well-versed in software engineering, platform engineering, and solutions architecture disciplines.

  • Experience working with or selling to developers and engineering-led buyers.

  • Strong track record of leading complex enterprise technical engagements and building trust with senior stakeholders.

  • Exceptional communication and technical storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and influence executive audiences.

  • A bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and a consistently high bar for excellence.

  • Must be available to work in London, UK

Bonus If You Have
  • Familiarity with genAI, agents, observability, or open source software

  • Experience as an early member of a startup GTM organization

Compensation:
  • We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks. Benefits include things like medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, and life insurance. Actual compensation and offerings will vary based on role, level, and location. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.

  • Salary Range: 180 - 220 GBP
