Location: Slough, UK

In the role of Validation Lead at Lonza AG, you have the exciting opportunity to lead and oversee our operational Validation teams within the Technical Services function. This position is vital in ensuring the flawless implementation and adherence of our software, equipment, and processes. By joining our team, you will be part of a global leader in life sciences, promoting innovation and making a meaningful difference in the world. Your expertise and leadership will be crucial in providing exceptional service to both internal and external collaborators.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead and guide the Validation Teams to guarantee alignment with the Technical Services strategy in terms of delivery, performance, and compliance.
  • Maintain the Site Validation Master Plan and govern Validation procedures to meet current regulatory requirements, internal global standards, industry standards, and business improvement projects.
  • Interact with internal and external clients and oversight bodies to guarantee that customer requirements match operational implementation, stepping in when needed to address issues.
  • Establish and maintain positive connections with collaborators and cross-functional departments, including Manufacturing and Development Services groups.
  • Supervise validation consultants and contractors throughout the completion of site projects, tracking important metrics to guarantee performance and value for money.
  • Contribute to Global and Local initiatives where Validation can directly contribute to or benefit from the initiative's implementation.

  • Demonstrated gravitas, intellectual capability, and daily operational grip to gain immediate respect and credibility across the organization, from the shop floor to the site leadership team.
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing change and achieving goals with tenacity.
  • Strategic problem solver with a passion for improvement, combined with an execution approach.
  • Intellectual ability to think abstractly and creatively to resolve problems and achieve practical results.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and encourage individuals and teams to set and achieve breakthrough performance goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously through to delivery.
  • Strong business and interpersonal skills with persuasive communication abilities – written, oral, and active listening – to influence peers and colleagues.
