We are seeking an entrepreneurial Conversion Optimisation Team Lead to establish and build our CRO function from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our optimisation program in the online gambling industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for building testing capabilities, forming a high-performing team, and developing the strategic framework for all conversion optimisation initiatives across our betting and gaming platforms.
What you’ll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
- Establish the CRO function's structure, processes, and methodologies from the ground up
- Build and implement comprehensive testing infrastructure, including frameworks, tools, platforms, and QA processes that meet industry requirements
- Develop and maintain organization-wide KPI framework
- Create and maintain program documentation, including standard operating procedures, best practices, and training materials
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Compliance and Tech teams
- Foster a culture of experimentation while ensuring compliance with various regulations and guidelines
- Identify, prioritise, and execute high-impact optimisation opportunities across the customer journey
- Lead creative optimization initiatives, including design variations, messaging tests, and visual element experiments to maximize engagement and conversion
- Collaborate with creative and UX teams to develop data-driven hypotheses for improving creative performance across all customer touchpoints
- Develop and manage testing roadmap that balances commercial impact and resource requirements
- Lead analysis and presentation of test results and program impact to stakeholders and senior leadership
- Mentor and develop team members, creating clear career progression paths and growth opportunities

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:
- 5+ years of experience in conversion optimisation, preferably in gambling, gaming, or highly regulated industries
- Experience in building and scaling optimisation programs from scratch
- Strong understanding of gambling industry dynamics and customer behaviour
- Knowledge of gambling regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with A/B testing platforms and analytics tools
- Understanding of responsible gambling principles
- Strong statistical background and experience with complex data analysis
- Technical Knowledge
- Experience with testing platforms (Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target)
- Proficiency with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, SQL)
- Knowledge of user research methodologies
