Summary: The Head of Consumer & Trade Marketing will oversee three core functions: Trade Marketing, Paid Media, and Consumer Engagement. This role requires deep expertise in media planning, consumer engagement, and creative campaign leadership to deliver data-driven marketing initiatives across digital, social, retail, and experiential channels. 

The position requires a balance of strategic vision, creative oversight, and strong project management skills to ensure all campaigns are innovative, locally relevant, and executed to the highest brand standards. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Strategic Leadership & Management: 

  • Develop and execute the Trade and Paid Media strategy to deliver best-in-class consumer engagement, media excellence, and impactful trade marketing. 
  • Oversee marketing calendars and projects, ensuring alignment with global and regional business priorities. 
  • Own and manage budgets and resources effectively to drive efficiency and deliver measurable, high-quality outcomes. 
  • Provide strategic direction, set clear milestones, and foster transparent communication with internal stakeholders and global partners. 

Consumer Engagement & Media Excellence: 

  • Lead end-to-end media strategy and campaign execution, ensuring targeted, efficient, and seamless delivery across traditional, digital, and social channels. 
  • Leverage insights, analytics, and consumer behaviour by market to optimise marketing effectiveness, consumer recruitment, and ROI. 
  • Continuously identify and leverage relevant user-generated content (UGC) for key European markets to amplify paid media performance. 

Creative & Content Oversight: 

  • Lead the Trade Marketing team and partner with Design to deliver compelling omni-channel content for retailer websites, CRM, social, and in-store activations. 
  • Ensure all content and campaigns reflect brand identity, global guidelines, and local consumer needs. 

General Leadership Responsibilities: 

  • Nurture, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team, developing their expertise in consumer engagement and media. 
  • Champion a culture of creativity, collaboration, innovation, and results. 
  • Ensure marketing operations, workflows, and deliverables run smoothly and efficiently. 
  • Support broader company objectives and initiatives, acting as a key ambassador of the brand. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with Commercial, VM, PR, and Education to align strategies and maximise campaign impact. 
  • Build and nurture strong connections with Global Marketing teams to ensure regional needs are incorporated into global initiatives and deliverables. 

Requirements
  • 8–12 years of experience in marketing, with a strong focus on consumer engagement, brand building/acceleration, and media strategy (beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industries preferred). 
  • Proven track record of leading cross-channel campaigns that drive measurable consumer and business impact. 
  • Expertise in media planning and buying across traditional and digital ecosystems, and strong knowledge of consumer engagement principles. 
  • Strong understanding and experience in adapting assets for regional markets. 
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams. 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret insights and translate them into actionable strategies. 
  • Collaborative, empathetic, and passionate leader with excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Resourceful, proactive, and highly dedicated, with a strong sense of ownership and energy. 
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working with ambiguity and change.
