You'll lead the development and delivery of our European compliance programme, helping to identify emerging risks, strengthen governance frameworks, and embed a strong culture of integrity across the organisation. You'll also work closely with regulators, business leaders, legal teams, and global compliance colleagues to ensure we continue to operate responsibly in a complex and evolving regulatory environment.

This role offers the opportunity to influence business decisions at a senior level, contribute to major strategic initiatives, and help shape the future of compliance within a global healthcare organisation.

  • Prepare and present compliance updates, reports, and key risk insights to Boards, committees, and senior leadership teams.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and proactively identify emerging compliance risks and opportunities.
  • Promote a strong culture of ethics, integrity, and accountability through communication, awareness initiatives, and training programmes.
  • Support the implementation of global compliance policies, including anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, sanctions, and other regulatory obligations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Compliance professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous professional growth.
  • Partner closely with Risk, Legal, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to drive effective compliance outcomes across the region.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Significant experience within Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Risk, Legal, or Governance functions, ideally within insurance, healthcare, financial services, or another regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and governance requirements applicable to regulated organisations.
  • Experience developing and implementing compliance programmes, policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Experience working across multiple countries, jurisdictions, or international business environments.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex regulatory concepts for different audiences.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or developing teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • High levels of professional integrity, sound judgement, and accountability.

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience within insurance, healthcare insurance, financial services, or broader regulated industries.
  • Additional European language skills, such as French, Dutch, or Spanish.
  • Experience interacting with regulators or supporting regulatory inspections and reviews.
