Job Description

This is a 12 - 15 months Fixed Term Contract position.So, who are we?

Your team

The UK is IG Group's biggest market by revenues, and IG is the biggest brand in the UK leveraged trading sector. This is a prominent role in the UK&I team and the wider business.  

Reporting to the UK Marketing Director, you'll lead a talented team of Campaign, Product Marketing, Consumer Insights, and Partnerships & Events specialists, fostering a culture of strategic thinking, creative excellence and commercial focus. The role also encompasses managing a multi-million pound media spend, creative and media agency relationships. 

Your role in the Team's Success

We are seeking a strategic and commercially-minded Head of Brand Marketing to lead our UK brand execution, product marketing and campaign delivery for a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a high-performance team, executing our new brand strategy, and leading our campaign calendar to grow market share, enhance our reputation and drive revenue.  

What you'll do

Brand strategy & campaign leadership 

  • Own the execution and activation of our brand strategy across all communication touchpoints, challenging conventions of the category and drive a culture of bravery and innovation 

  • Lead the development and delivery of integrated 360 brand and product campaigns that drive brand and business outcomes 

  • Own and manage the full UK & Ireland marketing calendar, ensuring coordinated campaign planning across all channels and teams 

  • Partner with external creative agencies and our internal Head of Creative to ensure campaigns authentically express our Brand Visual Identity and brand strategy through all creative work 

  • Lead the identification, development and management of brand partnerships, sponsorships and ambassador programmes that drive brand awareness and consideration 

Media planning & budget management 

  • Plan, execute and optimise a multi-million pound media budget, delivering against business growth targets 

  • Own ATL media strategy and planning, working with media agencies to ensure efficient spend allocation and strong ROAS 

  • Present media strategies, campaign performance and recommendations to senior leadership with clarity and commercial acumen 

  • Use data and insights to continuously optimise campaign approach and media investment decisions 

Product marketing leadership 

  • Build and scale our product marketing capability to establish compelling positioning, messaging frameworks and go-to-market strategies for new products and features 

  • Work closely with Product teams, translating product capabilities into customer-centric propositions and launch plans 

  • Ensure product launches are insight-led, strategically sound and commercially effective 

Commercial & customer understanding  

  • Collaborate with leaders of our acquisition, organic growth, and customer engagement channels to drive integrated plans that support out commercial, customer and brand targets 

  • Lead the Insights team to generate actionable consumer and market intelligence that informs brand strategy execution, product marketing and campaign development 

  • Establish brand tracking and measurement frameworks that demonstrate brand health, market position and campaign impact 

  • Champion the voice of the customer in strategic discussions across the organisation 

What you'll need for this role

Experience & Education 

  • Proven track record in a senior brand or marketing role with demonstrable experience bringing brand strategies to life through integrated campaign delivery 
  • Strong understanding of product positioning, messaging frameworks and go-to-market planning, working with Product team to launch new features and products 
  • Strong ATL media planning and buying experience, with expertise managing multi-million pound upper and mid-funnel budgets and optimising for efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Ability to translate consumer and market intelligence into actionable brand, product and campaign strategies 
  • Experience working with creative and media agencies to deliver award-worthy campaigns 
  • Experience in partnerships, sponsorships or brand collaboration programmes (desirable) 
  • Background in fintech, or fast paced D2C consumer brands  
  • Experience operating in regulated environments (desirable) 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field; MBA or advanced degree (desirable)

  • Strong people leader who develops high-performing teams through coaching, empowerment and clear accountability 
  • Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex marketing calendars and multiple stakeholder priorities
