The Role
We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Head of Business Intelligence to lead and scale our BI function. In this role, you will own BI strategy, deliver impactful insights, and build scalable reporting solutions that empower teams across the business. You will manage a small team of two (with potential for growth), collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, and play a key role in shaping our data strategy as the business evolves.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership of BI
- Ensure BI priorities and outcomes align fully with the company’s strategic direction.
- Act as a trusted thought partner to the C-suite on all BI-related matters.
- Define and communicate internal and external data requirements that support business growth.
- Influence senior leaders to adopt data-driven solutions and analytical thinking.
- Lead the design and development of predictive models, including marketing attribution and forecasting tools.
Manage BI Team and Tasks:
- Build and develop a high-performing Business Intelligence function to accelerate business performance.
- Set clear goals, manage performance, and support the growth of the BI team.
- Drive the BI roadmap and ensure timely delivery of all BI-led initiatives.
- Own project specifications, ensuring solutions meet both functional and technical requirements.
- Align data standards, methodologies, and best practices across the BI team.
- Oversee the development, enhancement, and optimisation of reporting, analytics, and data exploration tools.
- Delegate operational tasks effectively, maintaining clarity and accountability.
Own BI Governance:
- Continue strengthening the company’s data architecture, reporting frameworks, and analytical capabilities.
- Lead data governance efforts, ensuring data quality, consistency, integrity, and security across all systems.
- Partner with business stakeholders, process owners, and IT to enhance data access and infrastructure.
- Establish structured methodologies for data analysis and automate recurring tasks to increase efficiency.
- Define and maintain data standards for KPIs, metrics, and calculation methodologies.
- Lead the alignment of BI KPI definitions across all departments to ensure organisational coherence.
Drive self-service and continuous improvement agenda:
- Translate complex analytics into accessible insights that support decision-making across the organisation.
- Design and oversee the development of dashboards, reporting interfaces, and analytical tools.
- Promote data literacy and champion a culture of self-service analytics.
- Evaluate, select, and manage BI technologies and tools.
- Support ad-hoc analytical requests and remain adaptable to evolving business needs.
- Carry out additional duties as required to meet the objectives of the role.
