As an AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner, we seek an experienced and results-driven Head of AWS to strengthen our relationship with AWS, drive strategic growth initiatives, win business and grow the AWS Practice within Amach. The Head of AWS will be responsible for developing and executing a partner engagement strategy, leading the technical and non-technical team, nurturing relationships with AWS representatives and driving collaborative efforts to accelerate our business growth through AWS cloud services. 

Key responsibilities & duties include:

A) Partner Engagement Strategy

  • Cultivate and expand our partnership with AWS. 
  • Manage the AWS Team within Amach both technical and non-technical.
  • Stay updated with AWS services, programs and initiatives and leverage the AWS Partner Network to access resources, support and co-selling opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive partner engagement strategy that aligns with our business goals and AWS initiatives. 
  • Act as the main point of contact with AWS.
  • Enable our sales team with the necessary training, resources and support to sell AWS solutions effectively. 
  • Drive AWS-specific sales campaigns and initiatives to generate new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling AWS-related content and case studies. 

B) Responsibilities for Leadership of the Technical and Non-Technical Team:

  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to technical and non-technical teams, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives and growth targets.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across all teams, encouraging the exchange of ideas and best practices.
  • Oversee the development and execution of projects, ensuring high standards of quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
  • Mentor and develop team leads and senior members to build leadership capabilities and support professional growth within the organisation.
  • Drive effective cross-functional communication and collaboration to optimise processes and enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure resources are allocated effectively, balancing team workloads to maximise productivity and meet business and client demands.
  • Implement and uphold clear performance metrics and regular reviews to track progress, address challenges, and celebrate successes.

C) Responsibilities for Accelerating Business Growth:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances to expand the company’s market presence and client base.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted strategies that promote our services and strengthen brand positioning.
  • Lead client engagements, building strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and tailor solutions that drive value.
  • Support the creation and execution of go-to-market strategies, ensuring the company remains competitive and aligned with industry trends.
  • Drive the development of innovative service offerings and solutions that differentiate the consultancy in the market and meet evolving client demands.
  • Monitor industry developments and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and adapt business development approaches accordingly.
  • Champion a proactive, results-oriented approach within teams, encouraging creative ideas and entrepreneurial thinking to achieve revenue growth goals.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in AWS Partnership or leadership roles, or in a similar senior position within a technology consultancy.
  • Track record of successful partner engagement and revenue growth, showcasing the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services, programs, and the partner ecosystem, ensuring strategic alignment and maximising value.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, partners, and clients.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, essential for client engagement and business development.
  • Results-oriented mindset, demonstrated by the achievement of ambitious revenue and growth targets.
  • Technical understanding of cloud technologies and solutions, ensuring credibility when guiding teams and engaging with clients.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation to drive projects to success.
  • Strategic leadership and mentoring abilities, supporting the development of future leaders and promoting professional growth within the organisation.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, enhancing business growth and client acquisition.
