The role

What will you be doing?

Based in Dorking, Hybrid 3 days a week in the office. The role could also be based in Basingstoke but would require frequent travel to the Dorking office

What will you bring?

The Head of Internal Audit at Unum UK reports into the Global Chief Auditor who is based in the US, playing an integral part of the Global Internal Audit Leadership Team.

We are looking for an experienced audit leader with an Insurance background who either has, or wants to gain responsibility for SMF 5.  You’ll be experienced in running and operating an internal audit function within a regulated environment, through being pragmatic and commercial, and be someone who keeps things simple.  You’ll want to do things better, and you’ll have previously influenced efficiency and effectiveness of the audit function through data or technology, working in partnership with the other audit leaders to enable change globally.

You’ll be an effective people leader who can translate strategy into meaningful action for those around you and be someone who is equally comfortable in corralling and developing the team as you are in rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in.  You’ll also provide oversight to the small audit team in Poland.
