Head of 3rd Party Partnerships, Software| Hatfield | Hybrid 2 days in the office  About Us

Our teams are putting the world’s retailers online using the cloud, robotics, AI, and IoT. We provide services to partner clients globally via our innovative advanced robotics technology, known as the Ocado Smart Platform ("OSP"), this drives our highly automated, multi-million pound Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs). In our CFCs - together with the proprietary software applications - we operate a world-class online grocery business that automates the single pick of products, ready for your online delivery.

About the role 

To set our OSP software product up for success through enabling a world class 3rd party partnership ecosystem.

What you will do

The roles and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Standardise, embed & communicate best practices across the end to end journey of software third party partnerships; create central source of truth & centre of excellence
  • Define and embed Build vs Buy decision framework and support Product streams with strategic approach
  • Support streams with best practice guidance around market scanning & due diligence
  • Define commercial model options for partnerships and support product teams with strategic commercial choices; work with Commercialisation team to define impact on OSP cost and fees & to Partners
  • Define and track KPIs across software partners, and escalate issues & lessons learned; develop tooling to enable third party tracking & management
  • Work closely with Procurement, Legal, Solutions & other relevant teams to build commercial and legal playbook for third party partnerships; support Procurement with commercial negotiations; define & help apply appropriate commercial models
  • Support with upskilling of the Product org around all stages of 3rd party relationships, in collaboration with our Product Operations team; work with hardware third party teams to ensure consistency 
  • Define target roles & responsibilities across org at each phase of the partnership journey; define ongoing organisational structure to support 3rd party partnerships
