The Infrastructure Engineering team designs, builds, and operates the hardware platforms that power QRT’s global research and trading activities. The team manages server provisioning, lifecycle, and capacity across high-performance compute environments, working closely with engineers and data centre partners to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

Your Future Role within QRT
You will manage and maintain QRT’s physical server infrastructure, ensuring systems remain reliable, performant, and well-documented. You will coordinate with vendors and data centre operations to deliver efficient incident handling, maintenance, and capacity management.

  • Respond to hardware alerts and coordinate diagnosis, triage, and resolution
  • Manage vendor tickets and escalations, ensuring SLA compliance
  • Plan and execute hardware replacements, upgrades, and firmware updates
  • Coordinate with data centre staff for deployments, cabling, and troubleshooting
  • Maintain accurate asset records including serial numbers, lifecycle status, and service events
  • Support capacity planning and infrastructure readiness activities
  • Keep hardware documentation and inventories up to date

Your Present Skillset

  • 2–5 years of experience in hardware operations, infrastructure support, or data centre engineering
  • Strong understanding of server components (CPU, memory, storage, NICs) and diagnostics
  • Hands-on experience with HPE OneView, Redfish APIs, and HPE iLO interfaces
  • Familiarity with Linux systems and automation tooling, including:
    • Boot management and provisioning workflows
    • NetBox for asset tracking and documentation
    • Ansible for configuration management
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and support workflows (e.g. RMAs)
  • Knowledge of enterprise hardware (HPE, Dell, Supermicro, Lenovo)
  • Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, VictoriaLogs, and Grafana
  • Strong organisational and documentation skills, with clear communication across engineering and data centre teams
