About Fuelius

Fuelius is an Elite HubSpot Solutions Partner. We implement HubSpot CRM for scaling businesses — replacing legacy systems like Salesforce, Dynamics, and Sugar, or moving organisations off spreadsheets entirely — and we deliver Go-To-Market as a service, driving net new pipeline for our clients. When we do both together, the results are transformational.

We work primarily in the mid-market and corporate space, often with PE-backed businesses that have a mandate to grow. Our buyers are revenue leaders across sales and marketing who need a partner that understands both the technology and the commercial strategy behind it.

The Role

This is not a role that exists widely in the UK yet. GTM Engineer is a title born out of the modern revenue operations movement — a blend of technical systems thinking, commercial awareness, and a relentless obsession with pipeline generation. You will be the engine behind our outbound machine.

Your mission is to use data, automation, and intelligent tooling to generate a significant and measurable volume of qualified leads for our sales team. You will build, test, and optimise outbound campaigns using Clay, HubSpot, and a growing stack of GTM tools. You will source unique data signals, design creative outreach plays, and continuously experiment to find what we call "GTM Alpha" — the competitive edge that comes from seeing what others don't and doing what others can't.

If you've never heard of GTM Alpha, look it up. It's the philosophy at the heart of this role: better data than your competitors, deployed in plays they can't replicate, with a culture of continuous experimentation that means you're always three steps ahead.

What You'll Own

Pipeline Generation

  • Design, build, and run outbound campaigns in Clay that generate qualified leads at scale
  • Source and enrich prospect data using waterfall enrichment, AI agents, web scraping, and custom signals to build hyper-targeted account lists.
  • Identify unique data points that give Fuelius a precision edge — funding rounds, tech stack changes, hiring signals, PE investment activity, CRM contract renewals — and build automated workflows around them.
  • Generate a measurable volume of Sales Qualified Leads and sourced pipeline, with annual bonuses tied to your output.

Systems & Automation

  • Own the outbound technology stack: Clay, HubSpot, and many other supporting tools.
  • Build and maintain automated workflows that move prospects from signal to sequence to sales conversation.
  • Integrate systems using APIs, webhooks, n8n, or whatever gets the job done — you'll vibe-code where needed and aren't afraid of a complex automation.
  • Keep HubSpot CRM clean, enriched, and optimised as the single source of truth for our GTM motion.

Experimentation & GTM Alpha

  • Run a continuous test-and-learn programme: hypothesise, build, measure, iterate.
  • Develop new outbound plays — creative, data-driven campaigns that go far beyond "spray and pray."
  • Evaluate and pilot new tools, data providers, and AI capabilities to keep our GTM engine at the cutting edge.
  • Share learnings with the wider GTM team to compound knowledge across sales and marketing.

Our GTM Tech Stack

You'll work with the following tools daily, and you'll have the autonomy to propose and pilot new ones:

  • Clay — Our primary outbound engine for data enrichment, campaign building, and signal-based prospecting.
  • HubSpot — CRM, sequences, and marketing automation. We're an Elite Partner — you'll have best-in-class access and knowledge around you.
  • n8n / Zapier / APIs — For connecting systems, building custom integrations, and automating what can't be done natively.
  • Data Providers — ZoomInfo, Apollo, Cognism, Lusha, Beauhurst, and others as needed via Clay's waterfall enrichment.
  • AI & LLMs — For research, personalisation at scale, and vibe-coding solutions to GTM problems.
Why Fuelius
  • Build the function, don't just fill a seat. This is the first GTM Engineer hire. You'll shape how this function works, what tools we use, and how it scales. As we grow, this becomes a team — and you'll be at the centre of it.
  • Direct commercial impact. Your work will have a direct, measurable effect on pipeline and revenue. You'll see exactly what your efforts produce, and you'll be compensated for it.
  • Surrounded by HubSpot expertise. As an Elite Partner, we have deep platform knowledge across the business. You won't be figuring HubSpot out alone — you'll have some of the best practitioners in the UK around you.
  • Autonomy and trust. We don't do paint-by-numbers. If you've got an idea, test it. If it works, scale it. If it doesn't, learn from it. We want people who move fast and take ownership.
  • A business on a trajectory. Fuelius is scaling. This is a pivotal moment for the company, and the GTM team is at the heart of that growth story. The right person in this role will be a significant part of how we get there.
A Note on Culture

We should be upfront: this role isn't for everyone, and that's by design.

We're building a team of people who take genuine ownership of outcomes. People who see a gap and fill it without being asked. People who are energised by building something that didn't exist before. If you want clearly defined boundaries, a predictable rhythm, and a role where you execute someone else's playbook — this isn't it.

If you want to be the person who builds the playbook, who creates something from nothing, and who looks back in twelve months knowing that the pipeline engine exists because of you — we'd love to talk to you.

Interview Process
  1. Initial Conversation — A two-way conversation about you, the role, and whether there's a mutual fit.
  2. Technical Task — A practical exercise that lets you demonstrate your GTM thinking, your technical ability, and your approach to building outbound campaigns. This is the great equaliser — it doesn't matter whether you're early in your career or a seasoned pro. Show us what you can build.
  3. Final Interview — A deeper conversation with leadership about your technical task, your ambitions, and how you'd approach the first 90 days.

RequirementsThis Role Is for You If…
  • You've worked in Sales Ops, Revenue Operations, CRM administration, or a similar function and you're itching to do more.
  • You've tinkered with Clay, ZoomInfo, Apollo, Lusha, Cognism, or similar data and enrichment tools — even if it was on your own time.
  • You've built workflows, automations, or integrations in HubSpot, n8n, Zapier, Make, or through direct API work.
  • You understand what makes a good lead, a good sequence, and a good outbound campaign — you think commercially, not just technically.
  • You're a natural experimenter. You don't wait to be told what to try — you've already got three ideas and you're testing one of them before anyone asked.
  • You follow the GTM engineering space: Clay's content, The GTM Engineer Substack, the Slack communities — this world excites you.
  • You want to build something, not maintain something.
Experience: We're Open-Minded

We recognise this role could attract two very different profiles, and we're genuinely open to both:

  • The Undervalued Tinkerer: You're currently in a Sales Ops, CRM Admin, or junior RevOps seat. You've been building things on the side — Clay tables, outbound automations, enrichment workflows — and your current role doesn't let you run with it. You're hungry, technically curious, and commercially sharp. You want a home where your energy and ideas are the strategy, not a side project.
  • The Ready-Made Specialist: You've already done this. You've built outbound engines, run Clay campaigns at scale, and you know what good pipeline generation looks like. You want a role where you can hit the ground running and make an immediate, visible impact.

Regardless of where you sit on that spectrum, the proof will be in the pudding. Our interview process includes a technical task that will demonstrate your GTM thinking and your ability to build — it's the great equaliser.
