The role

In this newly created role, the Talent Acquisition Excellence Lead will take an innovative, focused approach to ensuring the Global Talent Acquisition function is performing with speed, quality, governance and clarity while making sure we’re delivering a high-quality service to our diverse and growing business. This role will also be responsible for supporting the Group Head of Talent Acquisition in the creation, development and execution of the Talent Acquisition team’s governance, controls, data, technology / process roadmap as well as key strategic initiatives and priorities.

You will bring a mix of strong analytical capabilities, sharp business acumen and a can-do mentality with a proven knowledge of ‘HR Tech’, data / KPIs, reporting, governance and controls. This candidate will use a consistent and scalable approach to drive our TA strategy, developing operational plans which will enable innovative solutions that will look to increase the effectiveness of the global team. Owning the full end-to-end talent acquisition life cycle your role will span a wide scope which will see you own the full TA processes in partnership with HR operations, which will include but is not limited to (including KPI’s/SLA’s), governance and controls, onboarding, managing the Workday ATS, PSL/vendor management, reporting, data insights.

Reporting the Group Head of Talent Acquisition and working with both our local and global Talent Acquisition Leads’, this position will be key to driving our recruitment best practices and high-touch business partnering support as we look to embed and promote our enhanced recruitment model globally. The successful incumbent will bring with them prior experience in embedding consistent recruitment practices within a complex, fast-paced and rapidly growing environment, with the ability to demonstrate success in evolving processes and services. You will partner with the Group Head of Talent Acquisition and other Centers of Expertise (COE) globally, to deliver wider HR strategic initiatives and priorities. Therefore, a proven track record of building strong engagement with stakeholders and peers will be essential.

What will you be doing?

  • Support the Group Head of Talent Acquisition and global TA teams to develop TA goals and plans, aligned to our people and business strategy, while supplying expertise and guidance on TA governance, data / reporting, processes / technology and more.
  • Work with the Group Head of TA to design and deploy thorough TA governance, policies and controls and then lead the monitoring of these, including remediating any findings.
  • Provide project management expertise to manage, track and report on the progress of the TA plan and roadmap, whilst partnering with TA colleagues internationally to drive successful implementation of the TA plan ensuring consistency and best practice.
  • Develop and deliver detailed change management, communication, and post-implementation plans. Identify key metrics to understand the impact and effectiveness of key strategic initiatives and priorities.
  • Responsible, in partnership with HR Operations, for developing the TA technology roadmap, and relevant solutions to improve processes and the successful use of accessible resources.
  • Manage a small team to ensure that our TA operations are managed effectively i.e. controls, reporting, invoicing, offer management and onboarding activities including analysis of the data and insights.
  • Partners with finance teams to support the Group Head of TA to plan and manage the TA team's global budget.
  • Collaborates with all HR Centres of Excellence (COEs) to execute TA's goals and objectives.
  • Partners with People Analytics and the TA Leadership Team to create and implement performance, utilisation and satisfaction metrics.
  • Responsible for reviewing the team metrics and generating reporting for the Group Head of TA, regularly, finding opportunities for improvements, and developments whilst implementing the recruitment solution and strategy to drive these improvements.
  • Manage agency PSL and broader key vendor management (e.g. LinkedIn, RPOs, MSLs) approach to ensure consistency throughout
  • Support the Group Head of TA with our ongoing third-party contingent worker service (MSP) and any future agreements (e.g. RPOs).
  • Ensures global TA compliance with applicable legislation and requirements to mitigate any risks, e.g., GDPR, DE&I requirements etc

What do we need from you?

An experienced consultant and expert used to working as part of a lean TA CoE. Able to think strategically while executing operational aspects at pace. Solutions orientated and able to confidently engage with a range of colleagues at senior leadership levels, across HR and the wider business.

  • Prior experience in Talent Acquisition Governance / Operations / Technology / Process roles in a global context (i.e. dealing with multiple markets).
  • Experience in leading TA governance / controls and / or remediating internal audit findings to elevate TA operational excellence.
  • Prior experience of the Workday ATS, LinkedIn (recruiter and insights) as well as other suitable TA / HR technologies, reviewing and implementing new workflows.
  • Experience in supporting global TA operating model reviews, design and change implementation.
  • In-depth understanding of the Talent Acquisition function and broader HR concepts, practices and procedures
  • Extensive experience of TA reporting, metrics and KPIs and the ability to generate high quality reporting to articulate clear narratives.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of vendor management, TA technology pricing and commercial models
  • Proven ability to seamlessly transition between strategic planning and tactical execution
  • Ability to simplify complex requirements and operationalise them with consistent execution.
  • Track record of implementing new hiring processes and procedures
  • Capability to positively influence with both direct and indirect accountability.
  • Delivery orientation with excellent organisational, project management, analytical and communication skills
  • Solid work ethic, proactivity and the ability to succeed in an environment of ambiguity due to ever changing organisational change.
