Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.

The Corporate Programs team sits within the Strategy, Execution & Analytics (SEA) function at Coinbase. We leverage program management skills to supercharge execution on the most critical priorities for the business.

We’re looking for a Group Program Manager (Senior Staff Program Manager) to lead our largest cross-functional programs in EMEA. These programs are often complex in nature and have the highest level of visibility to our executive & senior leadership teams. It will require someone with excellent stakeholder management skills and overall thoughtful execution. As a senior member of the team, we’re also looking for someone who can lead by example and champion operational excellence across the organization.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Lead large scale ‘operational readiness’ programs to comply with new & existing regulations in the EMEA region
  • Create the program strategy/charter defining clear objectives, northstars and success metrics
  • Establish clear organizational structure that sets process clarity & roles/responsibilities, and implement an operating rhythm that drives momentum
  • Draft & execute ‘Clear Communication’ plans using appropriate channels/mechanisms, and publish high-quality documentation as needed
  • Build detailed project/operating plans, gantt charts, stakeholder maps and other artifacts in support of your program
  • Proactively identify risks, issues & dependencies, resolving these with senior stakeholders if needed through clearly articulated proposals/trade-offs
  • Set a framework to drive accountability across the program establishing strong working relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Proactively identify ways to streamline processes to enable ‘Efficient Execution’ at all times

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • 8+ years in program management at a tech company
  • 4+ years experience in financial services or fintech
  • Working knowledge of legal, compliance & regulatory requirements of the EU/UK regions
  • Highly organized with an impeccable attention to detail
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, can turn incomplete or even conflicting inputs into clear plans
  • Experience identifying & implementing scalable solutions to systemic challenges
  • Clear communicator (both written & verbal) who can facilitate dialogues with senior stakeholders and drive toward outcomes

Nice to haves:

  • Data analysis (e.g. knowledge of SQL, SuperSet, Hex)
  • PMP certification
