As a Group Podcast Partnership Manager at Global, you will:

 

  • Leadership (20%): Lead the account management team, establishing productive team meetings and one-to-one meetings. Conducting appraisals and ensuring the team are motivated and have clear development plans. You will build strong relationship and better alignment with internal stakeholders across all area’s podcasts.

  • Operational (20%) : Lead the DAX supply requirements for all dashboards, systems, and tools supporting the podcast supply team. You will take an active role in the podcast budgeting and reforecasting process. You will ensure delivery on podcast costs while meeting partner MGR’s. You will identify and implement better processes to support team efficiencies.

  • Account Management (50%): Be responsible for overseeing the account management and retention of the DAX Supply Podcast portfolio in line with commercial strategy and 3-year revenue plan. You will conduct regular and effective podcast partner business reviews and lead contract renegotiations and renewals. You will identify areas for further commercial development and collaboration with existing partners and work with sales to ensure optimisation of partner revenues.

  • Industry Insight (10%): You will need to stay informed on the UK and global podcast industry trends, competitors, research, and tech developments to identify growth areas. Remain up to date on latest podcast launches, key talent moves, competitors, and partnerships.

What Success Looks Like

 

In your first few months, you’ll have:

 

  • Established yourself as a strong team leader through effective meetings, one to ones and by gaining a good understanding of the needs of the team while balancing the needs of the business.

  • Met and established strong relationships with all key partners

  • Chosen one of the biggest process challenges that need addressing and lead a plan to improve.

  • Establish solid internal relationships across all areas of the business that support our podcast business including marketing, sales, tech and editorial.

 

 

What You’ll Need

  • 2+ years of experience in the media industry, with a preference for a background in podcasting.

  • Solid understanding of ad tech systems and processes, with the ability to troubleshoot issues

  • Ability to distil complex technical and commercial information into clear, actionable insights for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proven track record in building and maintaining long-term strategic partnerships that drive mutual value.

  • Experience managing complex negotiations and contracts, with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a consultative approach to working with partners and cross-functional teams.

  • Exceptional prioritisation and decision-making abilities, with a focus on strategic outcomes.

  • Coaching and Development: Nurturing talent by empowering and guiding individuals to unlock their potential

  • Building Trust: Creating and maintaining an inclusive environment where diverse views and experiences are welcomed and celebrated in your team
