About the role

The moments when a customer joins Very, completes a purchase or manages their account have a huge influence on their overall experience with us.

We’re looking for a Group Lead Product Manager to define the future of these journeys across our app and website. You’ll own the vision and strategy for onboarding, checkout and My Account, helping us make every interaction clearer, easier and more valuable for our customers.

This is a senior product leadership opportunity with the scope to influence customer outcomes, conversion and revenue. You’ll bring several teams together behind a shared direction and ensure investment is focused on the most valuable problems to solve.

What you'll be doing:

You’ll create a connected product strategy that balances customer needs, commercial priorities and our longer-term goals. 

You will: 

  • Set the vision, strategy and measurable outcomes for onboarding, checkout and My Account. 
  • Lead, coach and develop Product Leaders  
  • Turn customer research, behavioural insight and commercial data into clear product priorities. 
  • Build experimentation, optimisation and learning into how teams make decisions. 
  • Explore practical uses of AI that reduce customer effort and improve digital experiences. 
  • Bring Product, Technology, UX, Analytics, Commercial and Trading teams together around shared outcomes. 
  • Build compelling investment cases and represent the portfolio in senior leadership discussions. 
About you

We’re looking for someone who can combine strategic product thinking with strong people leadership and commercial judgement. 

You’ll ideally bring: 

  • Significant product leadership experience gained in a large ecommerce or digital business. 
  • Experience leading and developing Product owners  
  • A strong record of defining product strategy and delivering measurable customer and commercial outcomes. 
  • Deep knowledge of digital customer journeys, conversion and ecommerce performance. 
  • Experience using experimentation, optimisation, personalisation and analytics to guide investment decisions. 
  • An informed, practical understanding of how AI can improve ecommerce, customer experience or product development. 
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders and create alignment across multiple teams.

You can expect a two stage interview process for this position:  

1st stage - A 30-45 minute video call with the hiring team to discuss your skills and relevant experience. This is a great opportunity to find out more about the role and to ask any questions you may have.  

2nd stage - A one-hour formal face-to-face interview where you can expect a task and both competency/technical skills based questions.
