Position:          Group FP&A – Business Partner,  Corporate Functions

Location:         London

Type:            6-12 months day rate (inside IR35)  

           

The Role

We are seeking an Senior FP&A Analyst to partner with leaders of our Group corporate functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills, be adept at strategic planning, and exhibit exceptional communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role is high profile, with access to Group leadership. For the right candidate this is an exciting opportunity to start their career with Hiscox. This is an exciting time to join the team as we re-shape our FP&A and Corporate Functions support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering:
    • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand their budgetary needs, provide guidance, and support decision-making processes.
    • Offer financial insights, recommendations, and support to assist in decision-making related to resource allocation and investment opportunities.
  • Budget Planning: Develop, maintain, and monitor budgets for corporate functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial targets.
  • Forecasting and Modelling: Develop accurate financial forecasts
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, variance analysis, and forecasting to provide insights into budget performance and recommend strategies for optimization.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare regular financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management, conveying budgetary status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline budgeting processes, implement best practices, and enhance efficiency in financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Financial certification (eg. ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, Chartered Accountant)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools, comfortable extracting and analysing complex data sets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
