The Role

We are looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller to lead the financial control function across our global entities.

Reporting to the Global Finance Director, you will take ownership of group financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls. This is a senior, hands-on role that combines strategic oversight with transactional responsibility - you will be expected to roll up your sleeves when required, without losing sight of the bigger picture.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of group financial results, compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and effective reconciliation of intercompany and group accounts. This is a unique opportunity to shape the finance function at a fast-growing global venture capital platform while working closely with regional finance teams and leadership.

We are open to candidates in either Singapore or London.
Responsibilities
  • Review financial results from subsidiaries, ensuring consistency with group accounting policies and IFRS standards
  • Provide guidance and oversight to local finance teams and regional finance leaders, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Investigate and resolve intercompany mismatches prior to group consolidation
  • Reconcile month-end group management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely sign-off
  • Ensure aged reconciling items are investigated and cleared promptly across the group
  • Support timely and accurate month-end close for all group entities
  • Partner with the Global Finance Director during annual group audits, including preparation of audit listings and responding to audit queries
  • Shape and improve financial systems, ERP processes, and tools, contributing to the evolution of the group finance function
  • Train, mentor, and support development of group management accountants and bookkeepers
  • Drive standardisation of finance processes across regions, balancing global consistency with local requirements
  • Perform ad-hoc reconciliations and transactional work where needed, particularly during peak periods or complex group processes
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience as a Financial Controller or in group consolidation, within multi-entity international groups
  • Strong background in group management accounting, reconciliations, and complex intercompany structures
  • Experience with group audits and IFRS compliance
  • Skilled at tailoring communication style for diverse audiences and navigating cultural differences in multinational environments
  • Comfortable working across multiple time zones and collaborating with distributed teams
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative, high-performance finance culture
  • Credible, reliable, and trusted point of contact for all accounting matters across the group
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) – completed
  • ERP experience; NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Big 4 experience is highly desirable
Why Join Antler
  • Global impact - Full ownership of the financial control function across multiple regions, currencies, and entities, directly supporting the growth of founders and startups worldwide
  • Hands-on leadership - Balance strategic oversight with operational execution, influencing how finance works across a dynamic, international group
  • High visibility & influence - A genuine seat at the table, you'll work directly with the global finance function, regional finance directors and managers as well as leadership, not through layers of management.
  • Learning & network - Collaborate with a world-class network of investors, operators, and entrepreneurs
  • Autonomy & ownership - Build, improve, and shape the finance function in a high-trust, lean team
  • Flexible hybrid working - Hybrid London-based role focused on output; presence in the office once every 2 weeks
  • Culture & colleagues - Join a high-performing, collaborative team of talented finance professionals in a mission-driven environment
