What the Hiring Manager says….

This is a fantastic chance to be part of a dynamic Financial Control team at a fast-growing FTSE-listed alternative asset manager. Our team takes pride in delivering both internal and external financial reports for the Board, Shareholders, and regulators of the ICG Group. The scope covers a wide array of tasks, including crafting quarterly financial statements, generating monthly management reports, and preparing regulatory returns. Additionally, we play a pivotal role in guiding management and the broader business on the implications of accounting and evolving business trends.

Summary of our opportunity

The role includes managing the monthly financial control close and assisting in the design and improvement of internal financial control procedures. It involves coordinating with various stakeholders and leading the preparation of the monthly control reporting pack. Additionally, it supports the delivery of internal and external reporting and any related audit activities.

Primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Maintaining and enhancing the monthly close as well as account ownership and control processes

  • Ensuring a robust control environment underpins the reporting deliverables

  • Delivery of timely and accurate management information

  • Supporting key Finance and wider Group projects

  • Supporting delivery of external audit engagements

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Key Requirements/ Qualifications

You will have demonstrable experience of: 

Essential

  • Post-qualification experience in either Financial Reporting, Financial Regulatory Reporting or Financial Control

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA or equivalent

  • Strong control mindset

  • Experience working for a Publicly listed organisation, Asset Manager, PE & Venture Capital or Other Financial Services/Professional Service Firms

Desirable

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
