What We’re Looking For in a Group Finance Manager:We are looking for a hands-on Group Finance Manager to take ownership of our finance operations and drive efficiency across the business. Reporting directly into the CFO, you will manage AP/AR, treasury, cash flow, bookkeeping, and management accounts, while ensuring compliance in the UK and overseas. We are looking for a builder’s mindset. You’ll be deeply involved in finance strategy, optimising systems and processes, implementing cost control measures, and owning our ERP platform, combining operational oversight with strategic insight to support a growing, dynamic organisation.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Finance & Process Improvement:
- Own and maintain the company ERP system, including leading a planned change from a traditional cloud platform to a modern AI-driven alternative.
- Lead finance strategy, systems implementation, and process improvements to drive efficiency.
- Manage cost control initiatives and identify opportunities to optimise spend.
Operational Finance:
- Act as a true business partner to key parts of the organisation, including Consulting, Product and Sales & Marketing. Providing key stakeholders in those teams, as well as the Executive Team, with up-to-date information to enable quality decision-making.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes efficiently and accurately.
- Oversee treasury and cash management, ensuring liquidity and optimal working capital.
- Maintain management accounts and provide timely, insightful financial reporting.
- Own the end-to-end VAT and R&D tax credit process, ensuring rigorous compliance while proactively identifying opportunities to improve the company's tax position.
- Supervise bookkeeping and ensure Maintain a 'single source of truth' for all financial data to support our data-driven culture.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards
- Oversee and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations to support our international operations in North America, Europe, and APAC.
- Support audits and maintain robust internal controls across the group.
- ACA or ACCA qualified (Essential)
- Tech-savvy with experience using ERP and finance systems
- Strong communication skills, able to present complex financial information clearly
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Quick learner, adaptable, and capable of working across multiple functions
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and accounting principles
