Key Responsibilities:

Data Strategy & Vision:

  • Develop and execute the EMEA data management strategy, aligning with Nike global/EMEA goals and IPG MB global/EMEA requirements.
  • Anticipate future data needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee the design, maintenance, and quality of the EMEA data infrastructure (data warehouses, data lakes, data pipelines).
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance of the data infrastructure.
  • Facilitate the management through clear documentation and timing plans.

Data Enablement:

  • Collaborate with Nike Initiative teams (Marketplace, CapEx, C-FOP & Strategy) to ensure they have access to the right data for their needs.
  • Build ad-hoc solutions to facilitate data interrogation and visualization.
  • Promote data literacy and self-service analytics across the organization.

Reporting & BI:

  • Identify common and ongoing reporting queries and develop automated dashboarding solutions.
  • Maintain and evolve existing dashboards, deprecating outdated solutions.
  • Investigate and deploy modern visualization solutions to enhance Nike's data insights capabilities.

Client Interaction:

  • Serve as a key point of contact for Nike EMEA and Global teams regarding data and reporting.
  • Proactively communicate any changes in direction that could impact deliverables.

Scoping and Documentation:

  • Translate client requirements (external/internal) into clear project scopes.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data infrastructure, reporting solutions, and metric definitions.

Team Leadership:

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing, delocalized team of data professionals across multiple crafts.
  • Provide clear direction and connect the team through collaborative projects.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in data management, business intelligence, and reporting.

• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lake, and data pipeline concepts.

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and client management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good understanding of media and advertising data sources.

• A hands-on leader who enjoys delivering solutions and overcoming challenges.

• A team player who finds satisfaction in building solutions that empower others.
