What you'll be doing

Future plc is looking for a Group Commercial Finance Director to drive growth across the business and create shareholder value, reporting directly to the Group CFO and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). 

You will drive performance and support Future’s growth plans across the three divisions - B2C, and B2B. The Group Commercial Finance Director will be the main partner support and bring appropriate challenge to hold the divisions accountable for operational and financial results.

You will work with the Executive Leadership Team to deliver Future’s strategic and operational goals - both short-term initiatives and medium-term goals. 

Further to the above, you will work with the Executive Leadership Team to identify growth opportunities (organic, partnerships, M&A) and business risks, and be involved in strategic decision-making based on current trends and expectations for the future.  

Responsible for the P&L for each division you will also continue to develop the Future’s commercial finance department's ability to drive insight from data, ensuring the business has the appropriate analysis and tools to best understand performance.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve …

  • A commercial understanding and balance IQ and EQ, driving performance and value creation across an organisation. 
  • Exposure to a brand-led organisation (ideally in a PLC), experience with both Organic and M&A-driven growth
  • Experience working in a brand-led, multiple revenue stream business
  • Experience influencing business decisions based on commercial and financial foundation
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and influential skills.

What's in it for you

The expected base salary range for this role is £200k+ depending on experience, plus annual bonus (up to 50% of base) and long-term incentives (up to 50% of base)

This is a role in our London or Bath Office, working at least three days from the office.  International travel, although infrequent, may also be expected.
