Graphics Designer

Salary: £50,000 per annum, plus company benefits

Location: London, EC2N

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am until 5:30pm with 1 hours unpaid lunch break

Work model: Hybrid, 1 day a week at home 4 in office

Williams Lea seeks a Graphics Designer to join our team!

Purpose of role 

We are looking for a Graphics Designer who will be responsible to support the execution and implementation of print and digital projects for a Legal client of Williams Lea based in London.

The main objective of this role is to support the team developing, implementing and maintaining a new visual identity system that includes digital design, social media contents, data visualisation, marketing material, and print design. This means understanding and implementing consistent cross-media design principles and production processes to ensure that the design system is solid and well-thought through.

Key responsibilities 

  • Deliver and coordinate design projects for both digital and print, working with other team members to ensure this happens in the most effective manner
  • Ensure designs are fit for purpose and feeding back to wider team ahead of deadlines
  • Ensure consistent brand outputs across all touchpoints
  • Own templates considering best practice for digital and print
  • Advising our legal clients on print, layout, branding and deadlines.
  • Production of high-quality print and digital materials.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and deadlines, whilst keeping Partners, Associates and fee earner updated on progress
  • Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • Regular interaction with clients, as well as close collaboration with your creative colleagues, bringing a breadth of creativity and innovation to the team.
  • Working in a highly compliant environment, you will provide a seamless service that surpasses client briefs, whilst ensuring the delivery of on-brand creative material
  • Build strong client relationships with key stakeholders and relevant support teams, as is your ability to win client work and grow your service
  • Quality check high-quality design, artwork within corporate brand guidelines and to approved briefs and timescales

Personal attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design
  • 5 years’ experience in Graphic Designer with a well-rounded understanding of design and branding both on and offline
  • Experience within the Legal sector desired
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise accordingly, and iterate quickly
  • You will have a creative flair, an exceptional eye for quality and detail and an aptitude for creative thinking
  • You will be knowledge in Design and an understanding of competitors, emerging trends and technologies to share with the team
  • In depth understanding of print and design processes
  • Excellent typography and layout skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud – InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience creating and editing iPDF documents
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS would be an advantage
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word / Excel / PowerPoint
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst under pressure
  • Must be able to work on their own initiative
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
