We are looking for our future Graduate Sustainability Analyst to join our team in the UK, preferably based in either London or in our office in Harwell, Didcot.

Let's talk about the role :

We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Sustainability Analyst to support ResMed’s commitment to sustainability through the management of key global programs. This role will focus on supporting the development of our Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program, coordinating data collection for our sustainability reporting across our European facilities, and advancing circularity initiatives for ResMed’s products. The Graduate Sustainability Analyst will collaborate with global sustainability teams to drive measurable impacts across the organization. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to make a tangible impact on ResMed’s sustainability journey in a global, fast-paced, and dynamic environment. 

Let's talk about responsibilities :

1. Support Global EPR Program: 

  • Support the development of Resmed's Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations in different regions, particularly Europe.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., product development, legal, and operations) to track and ensure ResMed’s products meet EPR requirements. 
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies and third-party vendors to ensure smooth operations of the EPR program. 
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of EPR-related activities, including cost management and recycling targets. 

2. Data Collection for Sustainability Reporting Across European Facilities: 

  • Coordinate the collection, consolidation, and reporting of sustainability-related data for ResMed’s European operations. 
  • Collaborate with local facility teams and sustainability champions to ensure accurate and timely reporting on key environmental metrics (e.g., emissions, waste, water usage, energy consumption). 
  • Assist in the development of processes and systems to streamline and enhance data collection and reporting efficiency. 
  • Support in the preparation of ResMed’s sustainability disclosures for both internal and external stakeholders. 

3. Drive Circularity Programs for Products: 

  • Contribute to the development and execution of ResMed’s circular economy initiatives, focusing on product life cycle management, waste reduction, and product reuse/recycling strategies in the UK and Europe. 
  • Collaborate with product, supply chain and commercial teams to identify and implement circularity opportunities in ResMed’s product offerings, ensuring they are aligned with sustainability goals. 
  • Assist in setting targets for circularity initiatives and measure progress toward achieving them.  

4. Collaboration with Global Sustainability Teams: 

  • Work alongside global sustainability teams to align and drive consistent sustainability strategies across all regions. 
  • Support cross-functional teams in integrating sustainability into business operations, from product development to supply chain management. 
  • Participate in global sustainability meetings, providing data, insights, and recommendations on key projects related to EPR, sustainability reporting, and circularity. 

5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: 

  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability, particularly in the fields of circularity and EPR. 
  • Suggest process improvements, new initiatives, and innovations that could further ResMed’s sustainability goals. 
  • Support the development of internal training and awareness programs to promote sustainability across the organization. 

Let's talk about skills, qualifications and experience :

Required:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across different functions and teams. 
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Strong understanding of sustainability concepts, particularly Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), circular economy, and sustainability reporting. 
  • Education: A recent graduate (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Business with a focus on Sustainability, or a related field. 

Preferred:  

  • Proficient in data collection, reporting systems, and ESG reporting standards  
  • Experience in carbon footprint analysis, waste reduction metrics and energy efficiency tracking 
  • Proficiency in data analysis to assess environmental impacts and sustainability metrics 
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance 
  • Understanding of sustainability challenges in medical devices, healthcare or manufacturing
