We are looking for an analytical and technically minded graduate to join our dedicated Internal Operations team in Wallingford. This is a broad, hands-on role supporting teams across the business through the full digital solutions lifecycle, from identifying process improvement opportunities and developing AI-enabled applications to automating routine activities and delivering data-driven insights. 

There is a requirement to be onsite in Wallingford for 5 days a week to provide visible, day-to-day support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop digital tools and applications that improve Internal Operations processes across procurement, quality and inventory management.
  • Work with procurement, finance, stores and wider business teams to understand functional requirements and translate them into practical digital solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational activities using AI and workflow automation.
  • Analyse multi-source data to identify trends, opportunities and performance improvements.
  • Develop dashboards, reports and visualisations to support operational decision-making.
  • Support the implementation and testing of new digital solutions.
  • Continuously explore emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications within Internal Operations.
  • Document processes, applications and user guides to support adoption across the business.
Example Projects
  • Developing an end-to-end application that streamlines ad-hoc purchasing by connecting requesters, procurement, stores and finance into a single approval and tracking workflow.
  • Creating AI tools to compare supplier quotations and highlight commercial differences.
  • Automating the preparation of Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and supplier communications.
  • Building AI assistants that draft procurement correspondence and template emails.
  • Developing tools to analyse supplier quality reports and identify recurring issues or risks.
  • Creating automated supplier performance scorecards and insight reports.
  • Using AI to extract, summarise and interpret procurement documents and contracts.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce manual administration through intelligent automation.

What we need from you 

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • An interest in AI, automation and digital transformation.
  • Experience developing applications, software or digital solutions through university, placements or personal projects.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript or C#, or experience with low-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform.
  • An understanding of databases, APIs and data analysis.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate or Power BI.
  • Experience using Large Language Models (LLMs) or AI APIs.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data visualisation tools.
  • Knowledge of process mapping and business process improvement.
  • Understanding of procurement or supply chain principles (not essential).
