Job Description
Goal of the position:
This Graduate Accountant position is an excellent opportunity for you to experience all aspects of a professional role, within a finance team in Industry, with a path for progression to chartered status and beyond. The role comes with full study support for either ACCA or CIMA qualifications. You will need to have strong academics and exceptional communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Division Dataset and related financial reporting and analysis.
- Assist the Finance Teams, working closely with the European Financial Controller, with month-end close including financial reporting, journals, accruals and reconciliations.
- Monitor Inventory use, standard cost variances and support the annual cost roll.
- Partner with Controllers to produce custom reports and streamline financial reporting.
- Look for opportunities for improvements within the finance team and undertake analysis which could be used to provide a positive business impact. Support Expenses management.
- Take ownership for a wide range of activities in as required to support the finance department and expand your knowledge.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Desire to develop a career in Finance.
- Degree level qualified with at least a 2:1 degree class.
- Motivated to study for professional qualification.
- Curiosity and continuous improvement mindset.
- Analytical thinking.
- A role model of Loma’s behaviours (Hands-on, One Team, Positive Mindset, delivering on our Commitments, Taking the initiative).
- Good ability in using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and willingness to learn relevant systems, e.g. MS D365 and Power BI.
