Job DescriptionYou will join our Nature Positive Services department and be part of a global biodiversity community.
As our new Nature Positive Graduate Consultant you will be part of a friendly, progressive team of biodiversity specialists; part of a larger team of scientists working within the global Biodiversity & Ecosystem service line. In the first instance, you will work on international BNG projects, undertaking assessments, reporting, inputting to biodiversity mitigation design and liaising with relevant stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to develop your biodiversity skills to assist in delivering more strategic biodiversity work in the UK and across Europe, the Middle East, the Americas and Africa, supporting our international biodiversity work.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Undertake BNG assessments on a range of development projects, including energy, data centres, transport, mining, in addition to BNG for operational site portfolios.
Liaise with ecologists, GIS and landscape specialists to acquire biodiversity data required for BNG assessments.
Undertake technical BNG analysis and provide recommendations to minimise biodiversity impacts and maximise outputs.
Produce clear and concise written reports.
Carry out such additional duties as may reasonably be required in this role.
This role is available in either London, Exeter, Birmingham or Edinburgh.
QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you should have an understanding of Nature Positive, Ramboll’s Biodiversity Metrics, and an interest in assessing and delivering BNG on a range of projects. You must have an appropriate BSc such as Biology, Ecology, Environmental Biology, Conservation Biology, Aquatic Ecology, Ecosystem Services, Natural Capital or Ecological Economics or equivalent qualification and be willing to develop your biodiversity conservation skills to assist in a range of biodiversity work
Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: a focussed conservation biologist with an ability to think innovatively to develop solutions that work for clients and nature; good team worker; demonstrate attention to detail and a high level of accuracy; self-motivated, reliable and dedicated individual; commitment to developing a range of biodiversity skills and expanding your knowledge and capabilities in this field; interest in the wider sustainability agenda and Environmental Social Governance.
