POSITION SUMMARY
KKR is seeking a Wealth Product Lawyer in a new role to join the Legal platform in our London office and work directly with our Private Wealth Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support for structuring and development of private wealth vehicles investing in alternative asset classes and corporate governance of such vehicles.
- Assist legal project management of commercial arrangements with distributors, discretionary program managers and fund of fund managers.
- Communicate with and report to boards and senior management of wealth vehicles.
- Draft, prepare, review and negotiate (as applicable) prospectuses, subscription documents, board materials, marketing materials, distribution agreements, fund of funds agreements and investment advisory agreements
- Provide legal support to product origination and sales teams and wealth business leaders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years of legal experience in asset management at either a globally recognized law firm and/or in-house legal department of an investment management organization. Focus will be on candidates with significant experience representing fund sponsors.
- Experience with evergreen wealth products; European AIFs and AIFMD; Luxembourg Part II UCIs, SIFs, SICARs and RAIFs; and ELTIF Regulation.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, with executive presence to advise a range of senior and junior people globally across the firm.
- Must be a self-starter with good leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team and be able to manage and prioritize multiple demands and projects.
- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced work environment.
