Job Summary: The Global Trade Strategist will support in developing and implementing global trade strategy to help grow market share and ensure we are well positioned for future growth and innovation. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate across multiple teams to drive positive change within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Develop actionable insights into customer needs and pain points to inform product development and go-to-market strategies.
- Support the development of key messaging and content to articulate our value proposition to clients and prospects.
- Lead special projects related to trade finance and supply chain finance as needed by the department head.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, product management, operations, technology, compliance, etc. to develop solutions to meet client needs and enhance our offerings.
- Identify areas where we can improve efficiency or reduce costs through process optimization, automation, etc.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to understand current capabilities and limitations.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate/investment banking, consulting, or similar role.
- Experience in trade finance is a plus
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation), critical thinking, and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of trade finance products and services is not required but is a plus.
