Job Description:

Location: Warsaw (Poland)

Type of contract: Permanent

 

As the global Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager - Global Capital at Mars, you will partner to drive development & implementation of Capital sub-category buying strategies for Petcare process equipment (Dry) and related services and co-pilot optimization of resources. The role is responsible for $300M+ in annual spend. This role manages global initiatives by leveraging supplier relationships, while also driving standardization and automation. Ownership of sub-category spend on a global basis will be key, as will heavy x-functional collaboration and close partnership with key stakeholders.

This role will be a member of a global capital team 8-10 global capital category managers and regional sourcing leads, and work together in a hyper collaborative way.

 

What are we looking for? 

  • Minimum of 7 years of global/regional strategic sourcing and purchasing experience, preferably in capital investment or related supply services. Engineering and Supply experience a plus

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement / business management

  • Proven track record in large-scale negotiations and contract management at global level.

  • Fluency in English and French

 

What will be your key responsibilities? 

  • Business Partnering

    • Partner with engineering and regional Procurement teams to develop and execute global sourcing strategies using the Mars framework.

    • Participate in the Global Category Team and maintain relationships with category operational buying managers in the region.

  • Category Strategy & Analytical Mindset:

    • Through your sourcing category expertise provide market and financial insights, import best practices, and ensure knowledge management within MGS Procurement for the Spend categories under your responsibility.

    • Engage with global engineering technology leads to develop and execute strategies, standardization protocols, and sourcing initiatives.

  • Negotiation & Contracting:

    • Develop, negotiate and implement regional/global contracts and related Service Level Agreements including securing price, volume rebates, capacity, and service levels.

    • Ensure the supplier base is optimized according to the category management strategies to enable the end to end procure to pay process.

  • Sourcing, Supplier Roster, Supplier Selection:

    • Drive the utilization of sourcing technologies, including e-sourcing and e-auction.

    • Responsible to drive compliance, including Responsible Sourcing, with zero exposure and ensure all governance according to the Mars standards.

  • Supplier Relationship Management:

    • Lead relationships with global suppliers to drive performance management, continuous quality, and cost improvement, and develop supplier-enabled innovation.
