Job Description:

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

Senior Manager role to provide alignment on pricing activities and decisions between Products, Regions, and Countries. Purpose of the role is to support price variation request decision. The role is important with GPPS/Value & Access and regions/countries to drive optimal asset/product pricing decision. The role is also responsible for performing key analytics and ensuring pricing data integrity, being a pivotal contributor to Pricing decision and analysis. He/ She will contribute to Ipsen, above asset/product, pricing strategy and provides pricing expertise to transversal projects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support price variation request decision playing an important role with GPPS/Value & Access and regions/countries.

    • Act as primary point of contact for countries in scope for any pricing related topics

    • Providing affiliates with relevant information

    • Responsible end-to-end for pricing request management (from price variation request assessment to final decision organization)

  • Responsible for performing key analytics and ensuring pricing data integrity and update, being a pivotal contributor to Pricing decision and analysis.

    • Drive relevant pricing analysis (International Reference Pricing impact etc..)

    • Ensure Global Pricing system and database are timely updated with robust data

  • Drive Ipsen, above asset/product, pricing strategy

    • Contribute to performing a regular monitoring and review (e.g., Region/countries IRP, clawback rules evolution, potential net pricing transparency implementation…)

    • Contribute to Ipsen Tiered Pricing framework regular update

  • Support all operational (Budget…) and strategic (LRP…) Global plans with appropriate pricing analysis.

  • Provide pricing expertise to transversal projects

  • Ensure transversal collaboration with all key stakeholders.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Global Pricing experience would be ideal, alternatively Market Access, business or finance experience at country, regional or global level

  • International reference pricing, launch sequencing knowledge/experience

  • Health economics understanding (understand key drivers and interpretation of health economics and cost-effectiveness models)

  • Pricing approaches knowledge (e.g. Value Based Pricing)

  • Ability to apply methods to set optimal price (e.g. price differentiation for multiple indications or treatment lines, differential pricing feasibility within/across geographies etc.)

  • Understanding of ability to pay/affordability considerations and solutions (e.g. tiered pricing)

  • Ability to apply profitability concepts: net commercial prices, gross margin COI as to potentially recommend net commercial price considerations

  • Effectively communicates rationale in support of recommended pricing strategy

  • Can assess impact of managed entry schemes (e.g., risk identification, mitigation planning and performance management of schemes)
