Job Description :

We are seeking a dynamic Global Growth Planning Director to deliver best in class planning work for Havas Media Network Global pitches as a key member of new business teams. You will represent a new breed of planners who define what true full funnel planning means, bringing the best of brand, performance and commerce understanding together to deliver innovative, integrated client solutions, all grounded in business outcomes.

You will be responsible for delivering media planning excellence on Global pitches as a key strategic partner and in doing so, support our Global Head of Planning to evolve the agency’s distinct and impactful planning proposition.

You will be a self-starter, able to work proactively to enthuse and inspire those around you in global and local market pitch teams with your passion for industry-leading planning expertise across all channels, right through to the point of purchase.

You will be a team player, working in close collaboration with strategy, activation, creative, and analytics teams both across Havas Media Network and with our partners.

Most importantly, you will love what you do, bringing energy, enthusiasm and expertise to drive the evolution of our planning work in the fast-paced world of global pitches.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Client Growth

  • Be the Global Planning Lead or support for international new business pitches, from written submissions through to client presentations. Orchestrate full funnel, multi-market responses to the RFIs and briefs, acting as the global point of connectivity across the planning process.

  • Identify and create opportunities for additional organic business growth beyond the pitch scope (e.g. expansion in performance, retail media, commerce, content, partnerships) with our wider Havas capabilities, through the lens of clients’ broader marketing and business strategy.

Planning Quality Control & Local Market Connectivity

  • Own the briefing and quality control reviews of media plans with local HMN teams for Global pitch responses to brief.

  • Design Global client planning frameworks and transformation roadmaps, aligned to clients’ long-term business vision, accounting for category and local market nuances and the governance required to operationalize it as an increasing area of importance in global pitches.

  • Play an active role in HMN’s Global Planning network community to enable faster identification and scaling of local full funnel planning best practice and case studies. Also identify capability gaps and upskilling requirements.

Innovation & Integration

  • Support the EVP Global Head of Planning to set the vision and roadmap for HMN’s planning craft, ensuring alignment with the wider agency business strategy, changing consumer behaviours and emerging market trends to give us a competitive edge in global pitches.

  • Collaborate with the Converged.AI product team and relevant Havas experts to drive innovation in planning methodologies, tools, and processes identifying opportunities for capability development in line with evolving pitch needs.

  • Build relationships with key media partners to create deeper partner engagement and provide unique opportunities for clients in our pitch work.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

  • Proven, significant experience in a senior media planning role at a global or multi-market level within a media agency. Single market experience with a desire to step into a Global role, may be considered for exceptional candidates but must demonstrate how you have organised and orchestrated multiple stakeholders before.

  • Substantial experience of leading the media planning response in new business pitches, from written submissions through to presenting in client pitch presentations.

  • Demonstrable track record of developing and implementing successful full-funnel media strategies that connect brand-building initiatives with performance, commerce, and business outcomes. This should ideally include working with and influencing local market teams to ensure planning excellence and consistency based on global planning principles.

  • Experience working in a matrix organization, collaborating effectively with diverse specialist teams (e.g., Strategy, Data, Analytics, E-commerce, Creative).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in the end-to-end media planning process, including strategic framework design, audience insight, channel selection, briefing, and quality control.

  • Strong commercial acumen with an ability to identify and convert organic growth opportunities.

  • In-depth knowledge of the media landscape, including performance, retail media, and e-comm.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies clearly and persuasively to client stakeholders.

  • Excellent strategic and analytical abilities, capable of turning business objectives and data into actionable, innovative media solutions.

  • Strong influencing skills, able to inspire and guide teams and peers without direct line management authority.

Personal Attributes:

  • A proactive, self-starting individual who thrives on taking initiative and driving projects forward.

  • A natural collaborator and team player, adept at building strong relationships across teams.

  • Passionate and enthusiastic about media, innovation, and delivering best-in-class work.

  • Resilient and adaptable, able to navigate a fast-paced and dynamic global pitch environment.
