payabl. empowers businesses to grow through payments innovation and banking services. Our ambition is to expand our strong portfolio of global financial services we provide to businesses and make them all available in one place on our platform, payabl.one.

As a licensed financial company with principal membership with card schemes, we specialize in global payments and providing businesses with multi-currency accounts. With offices located in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Limassol, and London, we are currently undergoing significant expansion and are looking for a Global Partnership Manager (APM) to join our team in Cyprus or the UK.

This role is about:
As a Global Partnership Manager (APM) at payabl., you will be instrumental in establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships with key local payment providers. Your ultimate goal is to build and expand a robust payment network that empowers our clients and aligns with our mission to deliver seamless payment solutions.

Reporting Line: Group Chief Growth Officer 

You will:

  • Develop Strategic Partnerships: Initiate and cultivate relationships with local partners across targeted markets to strengthen payabl.’s local payment capabilities.
  • Drive Commercial Success: Build strong, trust-based relationships, negotiate commercial agreements, identify growth opportunities, and drive deals from inception to closure.
  • Own Partnership Lifecycle: Act as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, managing all aspects of the relationship and ensuring mutual success.
  • Prioritize for Impact: Evaluate opportunities to maximize impact and prioritize efforts based on business needs and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with internal teams to support the integration and optimization of new payment channels obtained through partnerships.
  • Showcase payabl.’s Capabilities: Present payabl.’s solutions to partner companies where there is potential interest in leveraging our offerings.
  • Engage in Industry Events: Attend relevant events to network with prospective partners and promote payabl.’s solutions.

What we need:

  • Proven Experience: Extensive experience managing partnerships or sales within the financial services sector, with a strong track record of building and growing partnerships.
  • Payments Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the payments industry, including key trends, major players, and competitive landscape.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present effectively at all levels, including C-suite audiences.
  • Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated expertise in negotiating high-value deals, coupled with sound business judgment and strong influencing skills.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with a results-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Organizational Efficiency: High level of self-organization and discipline, with the ability to thrive in dynamic and ambiguous situations.
  • Technical Aptitude: Understanding of product development frameworks and principles is an advantage.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed to develop relationships and represent payabl. at events.

🚀 Hiring Process:

1️⃣ First Interview: Conducted by the Talent Acquisition team (30-40 min).

2️⃣ Second Interview: 1-hour deep-dive with our Group Chief Growth Officer and our APMs Operation Manager.

3️⃣ Final Behavioural Interview: Focused team fit, with participation from the Head of Talent Acquisition and the Group Chief Growth Officer (1-1.5hours).
