About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Global Mobility Tax Expert to join Nebius. This role reports to Employment Tax and Equity Manager and will focus on employee taxation matters, with a strong emphasis on equity compensation, cross-border tax compliance, and international mobility. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global tax regulations, payroll and benefits compliance and taxation, and the complexities of equity taxation. Main geographies in the scope of this role are EU (the Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Czech Republic), the US, UK and Israel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advisory support on tax implications related to employee equity compensation, across multiple jurisdictions.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including HR, payroll, and finance teams, to ensure seamless global mobility tax operations.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors and authorities to maintain compliance with local and international tax regulations.
- Analyze and implement tax-efficient strategies for employees and employer on people related expenses and benefits.
- Assist in the preparation of tax equalization and hypothetical tax calculations.
- Monitor changes in global tax laws and their impact on the company's mobility programs.
- Support employees in understanding their tax obligations and coordinate with external tax providers for filings.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, EA, ATT, CTA) is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in global mobility tax, expatriate tax, or international payroll taxation.
- Strong knowledge of tax treaties, social security agreements, and global equity compensation taxation in the Netherlands.
- Experience with tax equalization policies and international payroll reporting.
- Proficiency in tax software and tools; experience with global mobility platforms is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
