Global Mobility Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Global Mobility Manager to lead and continue developing Optiver’s global mobility function. You’ll set the direction for how mobility is delivered globally while staying close to the day-to-day work, ensuring we can support increasingly complex mobility needs as the business continues to grow. This is a hands-on leadership role.  You’ll initially work closely alongside the team on case management, including complex and sensitive moves, while strengthening the operating model, team capability and ways of working needed for the function to scale effectively.  

Working closely with senior leaders, HRBPs and People teams, you’ll provide expert advice on complex mobility matters and ensure mobility considerations are effectively integrated into broader talent and business decisions. 

You’ll also lead and develop a globally distributed mobility team and shape how mobility services are delivered across internal teams and external partners.  A key part of this role will be evolving the function towards a globally consistent, scalable and employee focused service, making effective use of technology, AI, automation and external expertise. 

What you'll do 

• Lead global mobility delivery, actively managing cases alongside the team while maintaining oversight of the global portfolio and providing expertise and judgement on complex, sensitive and high-risk moves.  
• Set the direction and priorities for the global mobility function, translating business and People strategy into a practical, scalable and effective mobility model.  
• Lead, coach and develop a globally distributed mobility team, creating clear accountability, strong capability and consistent ways of working across regions.  
• Partner with senior leaders, HRBPs and People teams on complex mobility and talent matters, providing practical advice on mobility, immigration, tax and employment implications.  
• Own and progressively evolve the global mobility operating model, including how work is delivered across Mobility, People Operations, technology and external partners.  
• Drive continuous improvement of mobility services, using data, case trends, and stakeholder feedback to simplify processes, strengthen controls, and improve the employee experience. 
• Identify opportunities to use technology, AI, and automation to improve efficiency, consistency, and service delivery. 
• Ensure appropriate governance and compliance across mobility activities, maintaining effective policies, controls and documentation, and partnering with internal specialists and external advisers as required.  
• Own key mobility vendor relationships, ensuring external partners provide effective service, expertise and value. 

Who you are

• An experienced global mobility professional with strong knowledge of mobility practices and the associated immigration, tax and employment considerations across multiple jurisdictions.  
• Strong business judgement and problem-solving capability, with experience navigating complex and sensitive mobility matters.  
• Strong people leadership skills, with experience leading and developing geographically distributed teams.  
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across senior leaders, HRBPs, People teams and external partners. 
• Ability to operate effectively at different levels, moving comfortably between strategic thinking, team leadership and hands-on case delivery.  
• Technology and process minded, with a strong focus on scalable service delivery, employee experience, simplification, automation, and continuous improvement. 
• Focused on delivering a high-quality employee experience while balancing business needs, risk and operational effectiveness.
