About Global Mobility at Diageo:

Our Global Mobility programme is fundamental to delivering Diageo’s future talent and development ambition with strong focus on business partnering, operational excellence and employee experience.

The Global Mobility centre of excellence is responsible for the management of cross border mobility of talent within Diageo including international assignments and permanent transfers, partnering with the business to deliver a Global Mobility programme which supports business needs, managing operational activity, leveraging global vendors and leading strategy and policy development.

The role purpose:

Global Mobility Business Partners have the main responsibility for managing international moves within their regions, working with a broad range of cross functional teams and managing stakeholder across the organisation. This is a broad role requiring the ability to use your mobility expertise to guide the business, lead complex cases, understand the compliance requirements and pro-actively manage key stakeholders. You will manage moves across the full suite of GM policy and processes with a strong focus on employee experience.

About the role:

Here’s a little more about what you can expect as a Global Mobility Business Partner:

  • Delivering a high-quality experience to internationally mobile employees and the business.
  • Responsible for managing all phases of assignment/transfer life-cycle for employees of all levels, including conducting move briefings, documentation and costings, partnering with vendors, systems and payroll.
  • The role has global reach, requiring partnership across multiple markets, including HR, talent engagement, reward, tax, payroll and external vendors.
  • Provide pro-active consulting and advisory partnership across the business on all aspects of GM as the subject matter expert.
  • Ensure that GM policies and processes are followed consistently and compliantly, with active management of exceptions.
  • Focus on operational excellence and data accuracy.
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects such as operational efficiency, policy review and technology enhancements, with a focus on continuous improvement.

What are we looking for?

  • Global mobility experience primarily in an in-house GM function in a global matrix organisation.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to identify and lead change.
  • Comfortable working across the breadth of GM activity with good technical knowledge, including immigration, tax, systems and payroll.
  • Collaborative approach with strong problem solving skills.
  • An adaptable and flexible approach. Able to adjust quickly according to changing demands and priorities, drawing on experience and expertise.
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels and across diverse cultures, with good stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
  • Experience of using GM and HR systems.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with analytical capability.
