Position Overview:
Squarepoint is looking for a Global Mobility and Immigration Specialist to join our Human Resources team, working alongside the Global Move Manager, supporting all our internal employee moves. The role will report to the Global Move Manager, who is in the UK.

  • Manages and tracks the movement of business visitors and will assist the Tax team in end of year reporting.
  • Provides support to employees for the full cycle of movers from decision to relocate to day one in new location, centralizing all activities.
  • Manages and tracks the movement of employees globally assisting them with the entire process, providing information on new location and assisting in assimilating them to the new location.
  • Manage the immigration (visa/work permit) process by working closely with our third-party immigration law firms to ensure employees have the required visa, paperwork, and support for the move.
  • Create visitor visa letters for employees.
  • Review and approve relocation allowances and work with Payroll to ensure correct taxability reporting.
  • Maintain and monitor visa and work permit status for all authorized employees including expiration dates.
  • Ensure relocation policy and allowances are communicated, used appropriately, and tracked to be paid accurately.
  • Partner with Payroll, HR Systems team and global HR teams to ensure that appropriate system interfaces are maintained and conduct audits to ensure that system data is accurate and up to date.
  • Educate movers on new benefits available to them.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years demonstrated HR experience, specifically managing moves/relocations; Workday experience a bonus.
  • Contemporary understanding of the mover lifecycle from start-to-finish.
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders within the company and externally with vendors.
  • Working knowledge of regional immigration requirements, particularly US and EMEA and relocation of employees, specifically understanding regional/international relocation activity.
  • Proven ability in communicating professionally – both orally and in writing – with all levels of employees.
  • Adapt to rapidly changing priorities and manage multiple projects.
  • Able to cope with change, be flexible, handle uncertainty and at times minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and track processes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, advanced Excel experience preferred.
