The job
You role is key to the function of AVEVA’s global market and customer intelligence team’s programs and activities.
In this position you will work in the Market and Customer Intelligence team to plan, project manage and execute market, competitive and customer research to support AVEVA’s yearly strategic planning process, global and regional marketing campaigns and activities, sales pursuits and enablement, go-to-market and commercial programs.
Working in a vibrant global team, you will build strong relationships with sales and marketing teams internationally and develop skills and expertise in global and local industry, competitive and commercial trends. By providing market, competitive and customer data and understanding how this impacts go-to-market strategy and a wide array of sales and marketing activities, connecting with a wide range of more senior stakeholders, developing relationships across all functions of AVEVA and building exceptional project management skills, the Global Market and Customer Intelligence Specialist will construct a strong foundation for their future career that will prepare them for progressively larger roles within our organization.
Key responsibilities
- Working closely with the team members in the Market and Customer Intelligence Team on AVEVA’s Global Market and Customer Intelligence Team’s strategic programs and activities through research, analysis and reporting
- AVEVA’s strategic planning process, by conducting analysis on a range of industrial data and sources (quantitative and qualitative), to provide synthesized market, competitive and customer intelligence across the business
- Responding to market intelligence queries from AVEVA’s commercial and marketing teams according to the team’s and AVEVA’s strategic priorities Working alongside the Team to develop strategic insights that guide global and regional campaigns, pursuits and planning processes
- Enabling the organisation to use Intelligence tools across AVEVA’s various functions and teams by becoming an expert at our intelligence tools and maintaining and refreshing training materials and instructions
- Improving the competitor intelligence within AVEVA by connecting our competitive intelligence tools with AI
- Building strong relationships with the relevant functions in Sales, Marketing, Business Area and Portfolio teams
- Maintain and evolve dashboards and tracking tools to ensure timely access to intelligence, streamline and automate intelligence processes
- Developing market intelligence reports and slide decks and presenting the data, analysis and the impact on programs and activities to stakeholder teams globally
- Capturing feedback and running continuous improvement activities
Essential requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or a related field, or work experience in market intelligence/research, marketing strategy and GTM or data analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office365
- A curious and analytical mindset, comfortable with data and interpreting findings. Technical skills in data manipulation (e.g. using Excel) will be advantageous.
- High attention to detail and process orientation
- Strong communication, organization and collaboration skills
- High degree of flexibility and capability to adapt agilely to changing requirements
- Ability to seek compromise and find win-win solutions
- Experience in project management and/or data analysis a plus
