We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Manager – National Engagement Leads for Ultra Rare Diseases to join Norgine.  

The person holding this position will report to Global Head Medical Strategy and Operations and be a member of the Global Development team.

The core responsibility of the of Global Manager – National Engagement Leads for Ultra Rare Diseases is to lead, inspire and develop a high-performing field based team of National

Engagement Leads across Europe, driving impactful scientific and strategic partnerships in Ultra Rare Diseases. This role champions cross-functional alignment, operational excellence, scientific integrity and patient-focused engagement to elevate the availability and impact of Norgine’s Ultra Rare Disease portfolio.

This will be a permanent role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Leadership and Direction

Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the business area or department; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these tenets and do extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.


Stakeholder Engagement

Ensure the NEL team builds partnerships with External Experts, scientific societies and patient organisations to develop a deep understanding of healthcare ecosystems and patient journeys. Through multi-faceted collaboration, evidence-based medical education, and scientific exchange, support the integration of Norgine products into clinical practice to improve patient outcomes in ultra rare diseases.


Budgeting

Manage budget plans for a department. May involve development or delivery or both.


Medical Affairs

Champion the integrity of scientific exchange and ensure the provision of high quality medical information through promotional (post-license) and non- promotional channels in distinctly separate interactions. Ensure NEL Team has clear engagement and accountability at a global and ROC level. Support evidence generation and research initiatives, including Investigator Sponsored Studies. Contribute with medical expertise to the development of global/local projects, data generation & publication plans in collaboration with Global Medical Lead.


Market Access

Ensure the team build and leverage important relationships and interactions with external experts and internal stakeholders, including key decision makers, payors, and patient groups to drive customised access and advocacy solutions with key institutional accounts. Work with guidance from senior colleagues.


Cross-functional Collaboration

Key leader on relevant Global Brand Teams. Seamless collaboration with global cross-functional teams and ROC colleagues, inc. Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure consistent and integrated brand strategies that enhance patient outcomes.


Compliance Responsibility

The National Engagement team bridges cutting-edge science with skilled account leadership whilst upholding the highest standards of compliance. All activities, including promotional and non-promotional scientific exchanges in distinctly separate interactions, adhere to local regulations, ethical standards, and Norgine’s governance.

Track account performance metrics and conduct regular audits of field-activity to verify separation of promotional and non-promotional duties. Completion of compliance training requirements specific to the execution of this role is mandatory.


Insight to Action

Lead the NEL Insight to Action process to focus insight gathering activity on specific gaps/needs identified in consultation with cross-functional business partners. Act as a strategic business partner, accountable for communicating actionable insight of strategic value to support sound decision making and brand strategy development.


Organizational Capability Building

Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions, including continuing professional development specified by professional or regulatory institutions, to build their professional capabilities. Provide informal training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.


Performance Management

Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team/personal objectives.


Requirements

·       Master's Degree or Equivalent Level in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).

·       Significant leadership experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare settings, experience in leading Medical or Commercial field-based teams within Rare  Diseases would be highly desirable

·       Proven success in launching rare disease products

·       Deep understanding of European healthcare systems and compliance frameworks.

·       Strong coaching, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.

·       Willingness to travel regularly across Europe as needed.
