Description

The Global Head of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and implementing sales strategies, and managing the global sales team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in international sales, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with key clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Execution
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive global sales strategy aligned with the company's objectives and growth targets.
    • Identify and prioritise target markets and customer segments.
    • Create and implement sales plans and budgets.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global sales team.
    • Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Revenue Growth
    • Drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expanding existing customer relationships.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry influencers.
    • Oversee the sales pipeline, forecast sales, and monitor performance against targets.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
    • Analyse and leverage data to make informed sales decisions.
    • Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Partnership
    • Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
    • Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive overall company strategy and growth.
  • Sales Operations and Process Improvement
    • Optimise sales processes, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Implement best practices in sales management, reporting, and performance measurement.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience
    • 10+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role.
    • Proven success in leading global sales teams and achieving revenue targets.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
