Job Description:

Mars, Inc is driving a bold transformation of its agency ecosystem to unlock growth, elevate marketing excellence, and deepen consumer connection. We are seeking a strategic Global Head of Production to define, implement and scale world-class production capabilities and processes across Mars Snacking. The Production Role will be central to creating effective ways of working between Mars Snacking and our agency partners. This role will shape how Mars Snacking balances global scale with local relevance to produce efficient and effective content across the entire media spectrum.

Primary Objectives

  • Lead the end-to-end transformation of media to production processes, aligning agency collaboration with internal production teams.
  • Define and implement scalable production workflows that enhance efficiency, quality, and speed across all content types.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external agency partners, ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Drive adoption of new Ai tools, technologies, and best practices to modernize media production capabilities.
  • In collaboration with the Transformation Management Office, establish performance metrics and continuous improvement mechanisms to optimize production outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across functions and across regions.
  • Responsible alongside key agency partners to deliver pre-agreed global success KPIs (Example: ReUse)

Key Responsibilities

Lead the strategic overhaul of media production processes, embedding change management practices.

Partner with Brand and Content, Agency, and Production teams to ensure alignment and cohesive execution.

Develop and implement standardized production workflows that balance creativity and operational rigor.

Leverage experience from agency client service to effectively manage relationships, trade-offs and timelines.

Define KPIs, monitor production quality, and drive continuous improvements.

Champion adoption of new production tools and platforms to enhance capabilities and efficiency.

This role will be a key member of a central program team leading the charge to update and modernize our marketing processes. Success will require effectively navigating the internal and external landscape to establish best practices and ways of working that can scale globally, while meeting the needs of our regions and local markets. Stakeholder management will be central to this role, in order to leverage the support of senior stakeholders and build buy-in with Marketers and One Demand leaders across the business.

Education & Professional Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in media production leadership, ideally with a combination of in-house roles at large CPG companies and client service roles at media agencies.
  • BS/BA degree+ is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Proven track record leading complex media production transformations involving multiple stakeholders and agencies.
  • Deep understanding of content production across digital, retail, broadcast, and emerging media channels.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change in matrixed organizations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience defining and tracking production performance metrics.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and resilient, thriving in ambiguous and fast-changing environments.
  • Strong and Adaptive communication skills

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all locations listed within the job posting:USD 239,834.00 - USD 329,772.00
