Description

As Global Head of Payments (Go-to-Market) (m/f/d), you will be at the forefront of driving SAP Fioneer’s Go-to-Market for payment solutions, including transformation and innovation. Leveraging your deep knowledge and network in the banking and payments industry, you will identify areas for improvement, and propose innovative solutions, which are targeted at delivering business value to our financial institution clients (eg. banks, building societies, fintech) and their customers.  

With your experience, executive presence and solution competence, you win customers and their key stakeholders for a transformation towards modern payment solutions. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Drive SAP Fioneer’s Go-to-Market for payment solutions globally, with primarily focus in Europe and Middle East and Africa. 
  • Interact with prospects, financial institution clients and sales teams to comprehensively understand and anticipate business requirements and challenges 
  • Define the target customer group where SAP Fioneer has strongest right to win 
  • Propose innovative solutions that are based on SAP Fioneer technology, e.g., our Payment Centralization product to further improve our solutions 
  • Leverage your network and expertise to win financial institution clients for payment modernization and transformation 
  • Understand customer business drivers and how to establish buy-in at all levels 
  • Act as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring a high fit and realization of business value

Requirements
  • 10+ years of work experience in consultancies, banks, and/or enterprise software companies - with a strong focus on payments in banking and a proven track record of successful execution 
  • Solid knowledge of most popular global clearing systems, including, among others, SEPA, TIPS, Step2, Bacs, UK Instant Payments, CHAPS, and ACH Wires in the US 
  • Extensive network across transaction banking executives at banks, cash management heads, head of payments, payment service providers, cross-border payment providers and other players involved in the payment industry. 
  • Deep expertise in banking-/ payment service provider-side payments and the associated technologies, including payment processing systems, settlement mechanisms, and regulatory compliance frameworks 
  • Experience with SAP products is a plus 
  • Strong business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. German is a plus
